| Tyson Griffin
Question for all of you? Tyson Griffin is a stud from what I've read, is the UFC just throwing a can at the guy with David Lee from England, or what. Tyson Griffin just KO'd Duane Ludwig, shouldn't he be fighting someone a little more experienced and skilled then Lee. and can anyone tell me does Gabe Ruediger stand a chance against Guillard or is Dana White just trying to get Melvin wins against fighters that we have heard of?

I think they are putting him against a guy like Lee to make him look better. Not that he needs it, he's a very solid fighter. I think they have big things plan for Tyson and want to ease him into things.
I don't think Ruediger is a gimme for Guillard. Gabe is a pretty solid vet with some good BJJ. I know Guillard will be the favorite, but I wouldn't be shocked if Gabe pulled out a sub. It should be a pretty good match.

My only concern about Griffin is that Sherdog has him listed at like 140 lbs, is he really that small, a large LW like Joe Stevenson or Sherk would have a considerable size advantage and that might be toomuch. But Hell he knocked out Ludwig, so he can knock out anyone in the LW division. IF you can strike with someone as talented as Ludwig, then there is no one in the UFC LW division, except maybe Yves that can strike with him.

About Tyson Griffin, he actually fights at 145 lbs normally. He's beaten Urijah Faber also who is another fighter with alot of potential. I'm not too worried about Griffin's size. As you said he TKO'd Bang, who has fought at 155 and 170 and is a big LW. Griffin should be able to hold his own with the LWs IMO.

I believe that Tyson fights at 155, he only went down to 145 to fight Faber. And when Faber said he wanted a rematch, Tyson said sure but the rematch would have to be at 155.

Actually Griffin has fought all of his fights at 145 except the Ludwig fight I believe. Griffin is the Gladiator Challenge Bantamweight Champion (136-145 lbs).

Ruediger is a no gimme for Guillard. In fact I expect him to win this one. As for Tyson, I think he'll do great in the LW division, and could definitely hold the belt at some point.

Guillard is so damn explosive and if he catches anyone, then he can and will win. What does Ruediger bring to the table that makes you think he can beat Melvin?

I think it will be a good fight though. It's tough for me to pick a winner.
