It was complete and utter domination, no question about it. Is it because GSP is so much better than Hughes, or has Hughes reached his twilight years? It's hard to say when Randy Couture has done what he has done at his age. Perhaps it's a combination of both.
I said it once, and I'll say it again - I just think that GSP has Hughes' number. I believe that Hughes can still beat most other WWs out there, and I think he would have beat Serra if they had fought tonight.
I think GSP will beat Serra and regain his title, however there will be interesting title defenses afterwards. Karo has said he in guaranteed a title shot in 2008.........I think he will be run over as well. I, for one, would really like to see GSP go against Fitch.
Oh, and for all you guys out there who still doubt GSP's wrestling ability.....WTF do you have to say now? Better yet, it doesn't matter, because if you still doubt his ability because he doesn't have the wrestling "pedigree" in the form of scholastic or olympic achievements, you are not worth the effort in striking my keyboard keys to bother responding to you.

Gsp will beat Serra and restore order to the ww division. I would like to see Hughes move up to mw and get K.O. by Anderson.

I went to my buddy's house to watch the fights and his wife is a huge Hughes fan. So when we all said who our picks were I look right at her and said GSP via ownage. I'm still amazed at how right that prediction was lol. GSP was scary good. Like possibly P4P best in the world good. Quote:

Serra's shot that put GSP in trouble was behind the ear.Next fight will be a land slide victory for GSP putting Serra's overdrive mouth in park.I can't wait.
The biggest threats in the 170lb class right now are Karo, and Fitch.
Karo's striking has improved beyond what I thought it would, and he has the best throws in the weight class.
Fitch is tough, and as strong as fuck with good wrestling. If his wrestling is up there with GSP's is questionable after what we saw tonight.

WAR SERRA! | LOL; damn it, this is the shit we'll have to put up with hearing until the end of times. Hughes needs to fight Serra to shut you people up. Serra is in no way shape or form better than Hughes. And if he had not of pussed out, we would have seen Hughes destroy him tonight for his loud, obnoxious, annoying mouth. Serra may be the better coach, but he's a shit talking asshole. Every time he opened his annoying mouth it was "Hughes is a dick this" or "Hughes is a dick that". And if he'd of manned up, Hughes would have ground & pounded some humble into him.

Go GSP!! Total domination! I was standing up and cheering him on the whole fight.
I think he'll bust up Serra and take the belt. Like someone already said, though, there should be some interesting defenses lined up in 2008. I'm confident that GSP will end 2008 as the champ.
