I think Hughes Serra is still a real possibility if Serra loses to Gsp I think Him vs Hughes is the only fight that makes sense I gurantee you even if he is thinking about hanging them up he will take a fight with Serra. I think he would also fight BJ again if the fight was offered. I think im with everyone else when it comes to GSP He looked amazing his ground game looked great his striking is great and he might have the best wrestling in the WW division if he can keep his head straight it might be a while before we see anyone else sportin that belt

I am pretty sure I mentioned this on the thread about their camps, but you can see that GSP is learning. He looked even better tonight.
I stated it on here somewhere that working with Jackson's camp would help him and challenge him and that, after the Koscheck fight, the next time he went for a Kimura (which seems to be his favorite/only submission) he would get it.
Well, he didn't really get the Kimura, but it looked much better, and I was shocked with Hughes strength to almost power out of it. Too bad GSP has been learning. Nice transition, nice armbar.
I will say, I was VERY impressed with Hughes' post-fight comments. He was humble and showed class.
Also, I was in a crowded bar in Mexico, but did Hughes admit that GSP is better than him period? I thought that was pretty much what I heard, but it was noisy.

Wow, that was sure a pleasant fight to watch indeed. St. Pierre has Hughes number. No way in hell Matt was going to take down George. Matt just looked ridiculous tryin to stand up with GSP a bit. For sure i knew GSP was going to take it again but watching him demolish Matt the way he did was awesome. Who would have thought GSP would beat Matt the way he lost the first time. Imo i think the submission victory over Matt was a much sweeter victory for GSP. Man....it was sweeeeet

Great fight for GSP. Quote:

Ok, I posted this in the UFC 79 thread, but I'm putting it here too.
Palma, (or anyone else) tell me how GSP didn't technically out-wrestle Matt Hughes tonight.

I'm a Matt Hughes fan. Something about GSP always made me root against although I can't figure out what. GSP most definitely looked awesome tonight but I think the main difference between these fighters is their camps and how they train. GSP surrounds himself with the best talent he can find and Matt keeps chugging along with the same old routine. If you rest on your laurels like that, talented fighters will pass you up. GSP has passed Hughes up and I think Hughes is too set in his ways to realize he'll need to train completely differently to compete with the new batch of fighters in his division. I hate to say it, but I think Matt really is done, although there might be a slim chance of him taking the Serra fight when GSP regains the belt.
