lol at anyone in the top 10. Soko was top 5 and Machida made him look silly.

And how are you going to have Arona ranked above Soko when Soko tooled him in under 2 minutes.

Stop hating on Machida.

Machida just don't beat fighters he makes them look bad.

NO puzzle here. i believe if machida fought a natural 205 that can strike and submit poeple he can easily loose.

i'm not impressed with the people he fought. i think he has taken tailor made fights. Please don't say he beat penn and be pround of that....penn is 5'9" tall. WRONG weight class for him....of his twelve wins how many are natural 205ers and good? hmmm...vernon,stephan bonnar...who? sokoudjou sure he packs a punch...but look at his ground game...NON-existant.

UFC is feeding him cans

there are plenty of people that would test machida my opinion.
here's my list which only include UFC fighters. there is no puzzle to machida. It's funny too how he thinks he deserves a tite shot...PLEASE..i'm gonna puke. here's my list of fighters who can beat machida:

jardine
forrest
rua
wandy chuck
tito
rashad
thiago silva
chuck liddell
randy couture
rampage
hendo
heck.. vitor is coming back soon

putt machida in with any of these guys...it would be a great fight!

For the record..I don't hate on machida...just be honest with yourself.

I hope you're wrong. I like his chances against anyone. Rampages sound boxing is good against guys like Chuck, but Machida's alot faster. The dude moves like lightening, Eh.....we'll see in time. I'm just a believer.

I think his next fight will be against Jardine for the number 1 contender spot after Forrest and Rampage. He should handle Jardine with ease probably winning by Uni Dec.

But I want to see the guy fight someone that just wants to take him down. Someone like Ortiz or Evans. Two guys that would not want to stand and trade, but just shot in, look for the takedown and then GnP or in Evan's case, LnP. I think it would be interesting to see what happens. Hell I would love to see the guy fight Sobral, that would be a lot of fun to watch. I think a wrestler that just wants to GnP him would beat him.

But yea that guy has done nothing but impress me since he came to the UFC, I think he is in line for a title shot, but I do not see him beating Rampage.

Machida is the real deal. He is the #2 LHW in the world in my books.

His qualifications:

Black belt in shotokan karate
Black belt in BJJ
Trained under Antonio Inoki in catch wrestling
Trained Sumo Wrestling (which on its own has no practical purpose in MMA, but the balance that one learns practicing that art is a great tool).
Currently trains with Black House which now is THE best camp in Brazil.

As far as him not being able to finish in the UFC, I defy you to show me anyone who has had 3 decisions that were more dominant than Machida's.

He seems boring because he doesn't get hit. All of his fights are so one sided and most of his opponents shut down and stop fighting once they see they can't touch the guy. It is pretty hard to finish a guy who quits engaging.

I think you need to learn more and watch more of Rampages fights, he BARELY beat Hendo, and in a rematch Hendo would beat him IMO. Rampage is very beatable, hence the number of losses on his record. I think Machida could beat Rampage, I also think Forest had the right style to give Rampage a go as well, and we already know that Rua can beat him as well as Wandy (twice).

I'm just speechless at your post and list. I don't even know what to say. I would be curious to hear your excuse why Machida sucks after he beat everyone on your list. I'm sure you'd still have plenty despite your claims not to hate the guy.

1-Jackson 2-Liddell 3-W. Silva 4-Jardine 5-Griffin 6- Shugun Rua 7-Ortiz
8-T. Silva 9-Arona 10- Machida (i previously had Sokodju at this spot)

and i really dont see him beating anyone i have higher than him
1 Rampage- I think he would be able to beat Machida more often than not because of his style... but it would be a very good fight.

2 Liddell- He couldn't land cleanly on Keith Jardine, how do you expect him to land on Machida's impreccable defense? Machida would pick him apart.

3 Wanderlei- Would try to attack but Machida would be gone by the time Wand got there, and Wand would eventually be TKO'd (Wand is no way #3 btw).

4 Jardine- If you think Jardine would beat Machida you've got to learn more about MMA. Jardine isn't even in the league as Machida.

5 Forrest- Actually has a better chance than most because of his style. He's a huge LHW, and if he fights w/ a smart gameplan he may be able to beat Machida but i'd take Machida.

6 Shogun- One of the best matchups possible at LHW, but Shogun leaves himself open when attacking & Machida is the master is taking advantage of openings.

7 Ortiz- Tito will not be able to get close enough to Machida to take him down... Machida will land a punch or 2 and then be gone before Tito even considered going for the takedown.

8 Thiago- This is one of my favorite fighters, and I believe i'm the captain of his bandwagon but I don't think he'd beat Machida at this point. Maybe in a year or so, but Thiago has to beat another top level guy.

9 Arona- You had him ahead of Sokoudjou even though Sokou KO'd him in under 2 min? But anyway Arona's standup is less than stellar, and he'd be leadfooted against Machida.

Machida is undefeated & hasn't EVEN LOST A ROUND. He's made Sokoudjou, Bonnar, Nakamura, Franklin, and everybody else he's foughten look bush league. I'm not a Machida fan, but I have in the Top 4 at least at LHW.
