I can't wait for the day where we can bring up more people than Arlovski and Sylvia when talking about the top of the UFC Heavyweight division lol. Other than them, there really is no one in the upper echelon of the UFC Heavyweight division. Vera is close but he's not there yet, Monson's making some progress. Mir still has to jump back in before we know anything about where he fits into the picture. Where the hell is Buentello? And other than that, they don't really have a division do they? Who am I forgetting?

and Marcio Cruz has a bright future as well.

pe de pano.
and right now i dont think rizzo beat him or the other 4 guys at the top of the division. the ufc really could have used drago like some of the rumors said but hes really to good for them and obviously pride payed him much money.

Brandon Vera while undersized for a HW in UFC has a better chance of beating Sylvia or AA then anyone else that UFC has right now. If he could get Sylvia to the ground he should be able to tool him there.

Vera-Monson should be the fight right now.

monson already earned his title shot, so give vera a tune up and he gets the winner when it all gets sorted out. they barely have enough contenders as it is they shouldnt be getting rid of a title fight right now.

| Monson hasn't done that much more than Vera though. Vera has 3 UFC wins compared to Monson's 2. Beating Assuerio Silva is at least if not more then equal to beating Marcio Cruz. But with AA/Sylvia 3 at UFC 61 the HW title won't be defended again until November/December. And Monson and Vera will both have to keep active in the meantime. But then again you might not want them to face off against each other in the meantime since you don't want to eliminate any potential HW contenders unless you have to.

I personally don't expect much from Pe De Pano in the UFC.
Assuerio I don't know. Looks like he's got the bug that some guys get when they go to UFC, where they just can't seem to get a break.

how can you not expect much from pe de pano in the ufc? he has two wins in three fights and lost a split to monson. those are his only 3 fights ever in mma and he has steped right up and faced solid competition. he is great on the ground, and has the reach to be dangerious on the feet. he has the least mma training of any of the top guys and still has looked good in all his fights.
