Pedro Rizzo-the next UFC HW champion?

There is a rumor going around that Pedro Rizzo is coming back to the UFC to fight for the HW title and he has told his friends that he is going to fight AA for the title. Maybe thats why the UFC put together AA/Silviya 3 match so quick. What do y'll think about this?

have you seen his last two fights? even if he does get that fight it wont matter because hes a shell of his former self at this point.

I voted Yes/Yes assuming he climbs himself outta the ditch hes in.

Kass101 05-31-2006 07:46 PM

in response to the poll now, i would wouldnt be suprised if he does come back but he not doing anything in the division, the pride rules are better for him anyway.

Afro 05-31-2006 07:49 PM

all hes doin is gettin knocked out in Pride, he should come back to the UFC.

The reason the fight was put on so quick was because Dana White said Sylvia called him the day after he won the belt and said "I want AA in my review mirror as soon as you can make it happen, I don't want there to be any excuses."

I can't see Rizzo beating either of them today.

I went with no/no. I doubt he comes back, unless he's willing to fight for a lot less than he's used to because they have no real reason to bring him in at the price he's used to from them, or PRIDE money, unless they want to use him to build up someone else like Vera or somebody. And if he does come back, I think there's too many bad style matches for him even if he is as good as he once was.

He is gona fight AA for the belt? Well wouldnt AA need that belt first?

Kass101 05-31-2006 08:34 PM

the thing is no matter were he fights hes not gonna get any money because he was a bigger name in the ufc then he was in japan and hes looked like hell in pride his last two fights. the ufc knows that over half there audience only would know him from the ufc and so bringing him in would get those fans intrest in someone they could get for cheap and know would be good for a ppv main event. they would shit in the real fans faces again like they like to do.

yea he's well past his prime and aa would beat him rather easily today and i think sylvia would handle him too.
