Wow, of all people I kind of figured you would be up on boxing history. Yes he was very very hated before he fought for the title the first time, then again when he refused to be drafted into the military. The back lash was incredible. But I certainly never would expect you to just belive me by your surprise. So...

and why are you gettin all testy? im not 40 years old I didnt grow up during Ali I didnt know he was hated thats why I said that.

I didn't realize I seemed testy, and i'm not 40 either just a huge boxing fan. I thought you could benefit from knowing something new that's all, i'm always open to new knowledge. Sorry if I seemed that way but I don't get testy on a message board, it's silly. Just talking.

Ya I never knew he was hated, everything ive watched of Ali he seemed love.

Yeah, now he's loved. History is funny that way. He was a great man, still is, but some people hated him for his trash talking ( which was great) but most of the haters, hated him for his ideas and beliefs. Now days because our country has changed for the better in many ways of acceptance of others, we are ashamed of Americans hate of him, so History shines brightly on Ali now. Which is only fitting.
