| He’s back…Former UFC Owner Bob Meyrowitz Quote: |
The long-rumored deal between Bob Meyrowitz, the owner of UFC from 1993-2001, and Live Nation, the leading event promoter in North America, has been signed, and the two will be starting a new MMA promotion. More details, including the name, goals, first event and more should be announced within two weeks.

my question is who the hell is Live Nation and how are they the leading event promoter in North America?
Side note: There are way to many "upstart" promotions and why the hell would Mr.Meryowitz think he could do any better with another promotion after running the UFC into the ground. Sorry Bob no mulligans, get this guy the hell outta here.

It is possible in Brazil and some other forgeign markets but the UFC cant be associated with it. I definitely think there is a place for Vale Tudo but it most certainly is not mainsteam america.

There is way to much competition to be the same!!! Vale Tudo isnt as dangerous as you think it is. As long as the ref and doctor do their jobs it's fine.

Live nation puts on every big concert at every big Venue in the Nation thats who they are. Everyone is in their pocket. I would hate for them to start a MMA promotion they are ass wipes that don't care about the integrity of anything but their pocketbooks.
