Herring by unanimous decision. Kongo's ground game IMO hasn't had time to improve enough to take on a guy like Herring.

Why is it so damn popular these days to deem every fighter and their mother worthy of a title shot? Jesus. No, Kongo doesn't deserve a title shot. Not that he's incapable of earning one, but fuck - Lets give a little more credit to the title itself, hah. Interim or not.
I hope this is true, though. Anything to keep Arlovski - CroCop a possibility is a good thing. Kongo out of the picture, fighting Herring, would be great.

Herring > Kongo, I'll take Herring in a Sig/Av bet in this fight all day long. I think some people give Kongo more credit than he deserves because he beat a Crocop who was a shadow of his former self. Herring has fought the best in the world and I think he would tool Kongo.

I dont understand why some poeple think this will be an easy fight for Kongo. I will take Herring in the fight. Herring is obviosuly far better than Kongo on the ground, despite Rogan's claim of Kongo's "much improved" ground game. Herring takes this.

Ya im amazed at all the people taking Kongo to win this, especially predicting him by KO in the first round. Besides a pre-ufc cro cop no one has ever (t)KO'd Herring on the feet, and Nog is the only other person to even finish him. Is everyone forgetting that Cro Cop was beating Kongo on the ground?
Herring by sub
edit: while I was typing this about 10 people said the same thing lol

lol at people thinking that herring will lose this. He'd sub kongo faster than a melvin guillard loss via sub.
I thought i heard that Herring was taking an extended leave from training and mma? i could be wrong but did anyone hear the same??

Yep, I'm going with Herring as well....to much ground skill, and a much more well rounded fighter than Kongo!

Herring is more well rounded and has a ton of experience. i think this is the type of fight he needs to get back in the mix of things. i gonna go with Herring by GnP stoppage.

We might be able to get good odds betting on Herring in this fight. The MMA oddsmakers are still pretty green IMO.

I thought i heard that Herring was taking an extended leave from training and mma? i could be wrong but did anyone hear the same?? | A nine or ten month layoff is pretty substantial, I think. But yeah, I heard the same thing.
And yeah, Herring would beat Kongo possibly worse than he did Brad Imes.
