Chute Boxe Coming To Los Angeles

Chute Boxe is no different. It has always been one of the largest producers of high-level MMA athletes in the world. Despite the recent departure of many of its top fighters – Wanderlei Silva, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Maurilo “Ninja” Rua, and Andre “Dida” Amade chief among them – Chute Boxe continues to grow and add new talents in preparation for 2008.

With the plans to expand its operations to maintain competitive and expand into new territories, Chute Boxe’s Master Rafael Cordeiro – who was the main coach responsible for fighters such as Wanderlei Silva, the Rua brothers, Anderson Silva, and Dida – along with Master Rudimar Fedrigo and jiu-jitsu coach Cristiano Marcelo are planning an expansion into America.

Having severed ties with former U.S. Chute Boxe representative Roberto Piccinini, Chute Boxe is in final negotiations to open an official camp in Los Angeles.

"The plans are to make a two way road between L.A. and Curitiba and to maintain this high level training in Curitiba and in L.A.,” Cordeiro told MMAWeekly.com.

“We want to put our boys to fight and train in both camps, Brazilian guys in L.A. and Americans going to Brazil to spend some time in our camp. This will elevate our athletes performance and at the same time we will recruit an excellent amount of new American and Latin athletes that are popping up in the U.S.A.”

Cordeiro is currently in the U.S. finishing up the negotiations, but added, “We are still looking for more partners who want to add their brand to ours.”

He did not indicate the exact location or opening date for the new camp
