|  A Champ Never Forgets: Silva Gives Back in a Big Way

Now, the monies Silva gathered from the UFC auction, which saw the gloves he wore in his UFC 77 win over Rich Franklin go for $7,150, and the fight-worn trunks from UFC 77 go for $3,500, will go towards helping improve the health and well-being of children and their families in need.
Such selflessness is the true measure of a champion and a man – and the definition of Anderson Silva.

You can tell by his interviews that he is very respectful and doesn't let all of this go to his head. I have much respect for a person like that. This article shows his true character.

worst because i really dont think anyone can beat him so he will just hold that belt until he gets hit by a bullet (god forbid that happens)
and the best because he is an AMAZING embassador for the sport... he has a heart of gold and is the nicest person... i kind of warmed my heart to hear him speak english after the last UFC because you know he had been working on it and when he told the translator he had it.. it was just a good thing...

that is truly awesome. he is a killer with a heart of gold. he is the kind of guy that will beat the living crap out of you and instead of leaving you for dead, he will take to you to the hospital and give you a ''get well soon card''.

I really have gained alot of respect for Silva, and think hes at least in my top 5 favorite fighters after this year, and especially after this article.
