Sure he mounted Silva, but he never had him in trouble even though people somehow think Silva was in trouble. I'm slightly defending Lutter here because he gets a lot of shit, even though some of it is deserved for not making weight.

I like Lutter to man, but I guarantee you that Hendo would out grapple him any day, he would also not have to deal with the weight struggle. Not to mention his chin is.... impressive to say the least. I'm not really sure if that victory should have been a submission or a TKO. Those elbows raped.

Hendo outgrapple Lutter? doubt it, Lutters BJJ is really good..

the difference between Hendo and Lutter at MW is simple, Hendo is a wrestling phenom.. the best wrestler in MMA and on top of that, he can grapple, he can strike.. Lutter is great at BJJ.. thats about it.

Style-wise Hendo will be much more effective then Franklin, then Lutter, then Marquadt of taking Silva down and keeping him on his back.. part of wrestling is keeping the opponent on there back.. even though Marquadt and Lutter have better BJJ and grappling skills then Hendo, there not in Hendos league when it comes to wrestling.. so they wont fair better at keeping Silva (who is extremely active off his back) down.

Hendo is also coming down from 205 for this fight as well, that strength and size will play a factor and overall.. hes just a bad matchup for Silva.. Greco roman wrestlers are crazy as hell, you dont want to clinch with them and thats Silva's strong point.. and on the ground, Hendo is just a beast there. I really cannot see someone coming off a razor edge fight with Rampage moving down 20 lbs and losing.. not after that performance.. I got Hendo.

My thoughts exactly. Although Im rooting for Silva, im leaning towards Hendo.

His BJJ is good, and BJJ may be the most effective form of grappling, but it doesn't automatically mean that he can take out any wrestler. Hendo is an AMAZING wrestler, and he does know his fare share of BJJ to, he also cross trains judo and collegiate as well. The man is just a grappling savant. Not to mention as you said Greco guys are fucking crazy.

Its just that in grappling matches Hendo never faired well IE: Frank Shamrock beating him

i like both these guys. But, i think if hendo can grab Silva, he can win, Hendo is a retty big MW, where silva isnt as big, so im guessing more power for Dan. I see Dan winning 3rd tko/stoppage

Franklin is also a big MW....

Even though Dan's skillset is superior to Franklin's IMO, I don't think his size advantage (if it even exists, which I think it doesn't) is worth noting.
