You'll notice my post was in response to a size/strength disadvantage argument. All I was pointing out was the fact that the dude bangs with a world-class heavyweight without headgear on and is probably the most-feared striker on the planet. Dan, and his "iron chin," is going to find that out the hard way. Spider doesn't like it when you talk shit before a fight.

What happen when Nog fought Hendo the second time, Nog finished Hendo. So that shows how much better Nog got.

And seeing that Anderson trains with Lil Nog too and didn't Lil Nog sub him in the first round.

Anderson is training with the right people for this fight.
Well, Dan trains with Ryo Chonan, and we saw what he did the Spider . Come on, good training partners help, but its ridiculous to say Anderson will win because he's training with a fighter that beat Dan, i.e. the Nogs.

Good point about the size though.
Considering Hendo was able to trade power on equal grounds with Arona and Rampage and alot of people say he is physically stronger on the mat than Randy Couture, I'm gonna say he definitely has a decided strength advantage.

I never said that he would win because of him training with the Nogs. I said he has the best training partners in the Nogs and Lyoto.

If you go on to read my next post i said the fight comes down to who wants it the most and i said I believe Anderson wants this fight more.

It does not hurt to have the Nogs to train with. Not only did they beat Dan, but both have world class Bjj, great boxing, both are just amazing fighters. Then add Lyoto in the mix and Anderson has another world class fighter. All Anderson really needs is a world class wrestler to train with an he has it all.

I feel that Dan is underestimating Anderson. I think Dan is going to come into this fight an try to swing hard an knock Anderson out. This is where Anderson is going to prevail, he will make Dan suffer for his mistakes.

Dan is strong, good striker, good chin, great wrestling. But I don't think Dan has a ground game good enough to finish Anderson.

IMO Anderson will do to Dan what he has been doing to everyone else and thats dominating them.

If he does try that, then I agree he's probably going down. But I don't think Dan is that stupid; he's going to use his greco-roman clinch and power advantage to muscle Anderson down and control him on the ground. If his sub defense is up to par, he should be OK.

i have been going back and forth on who i think will win this one. I used to always think u don't wanna clinch with a greco-roman wrestler, however anderson silva has a great muay thai clinch too. Even though it seems like its going to be a battle of which clinch will prevail... I don't think it will come down to the clinch (especially for anderson). As people have mentioned it before... anderson likes to go for the clinch mainly when the guy is hurt... it's like his finishing move lol

striking, you have to give the advantage to anderson... he has better hands and better kicks (even though hendo is a good striker). Anderson also tries to take risks a lot, like flying knees and I dont think those will pose well with Hendo... as hendo has a pretty dominant top position. Silva is good from the bottom too and has demonstrated it a lot in his previous fights.

It's really a tossup. i think anderson keeps getting better and is on a big roll and i just have a feeling that hendo is not going to stop it. Just my opinion

I think training with the Nogs will keep his ground game sharp, but I don't think it gives him the edge in the fight. He's not going to follow their gameplan and try to get the fight to the ground. Anderson wants to do the opposite and keep the fight standing. He's gonna be nothing but defensive from his back.

Silva can definitely win, but he isn't going to dominate Hendo. He's just not a good enough wrestler to avoid spending a good portion of the fight on his back, and he isn't good enough on the ground to sub or sweep Hendo (please, no one bring up the triangle over the half dead Lutter.)

Just because Anderson made Rich look like an overrated fighter by no means suggests he will do the same to Henderson. Hendo and Rich are on 2 separate levels when it comes to MMA.

Hendo wins. World class wrestler. Iron chin. World class clinch. Iron will. Strong as hell. Great striker. Very used to fighting fighters that weigh 20 pounds more then him.

Anderson Silva is a great champ, a great fighter, world class. Hendo is just better. I just don't think Silva can knock out or TKO Hendo. Hendo wins.

Odds are Anderson won't dominate Henderson but thats what i want. I want Anderson to dominate and finish. I don't want any doubt that Anderson is the best.

Anderson wants to be the best, and winning this fight he knows will prove he is the best.

This is the fight Im most exited to see. I also think hendo will come swingin. anderson will maybe catch em but like everybody says hendo will thrive in the clinch whether it's to recover from being rocked or to execute his offense. its gonna be good no matter where the fight goes.
