i would rather watch lay n pray....because you always get the feeling once they get stood up the guy on the bottom is gonna go balls to the wall for the knockout(kinda like herring and obrien)

IMHO i really dislike how fighters just lay on top of them and do absolutely nothing... and just waiting for the ref to stand em up.. which could take a while depending on who it is...
while i really don't like how other fighters prance and pepper each other with little piddy pat shots, LnP really irks me.
I think that when the fighters are not fighting, the UFC should pull a pride and threaten them with docking a % of their pay; that'll put them back into the fight and remind them why they are in the cage in the first place.
I'll say stand and dance as LnP is the lesser of two evils... mainly because you know the guy can't just lie there forever and he'll have to get there again without fucking up. I believe Stephan Kesting said something about this, and I don't know the exact quote, that if you have a stand-up fight and neither fighter is engaging then, just as when you stand two guys on the ground up, lay them both down and see if the action picks up. Either that or bring back the god damned yellow cards!
Mostly, I just think boring fights are boring. Who cares how they bore me. The boredom is mine and lives in me so it doesn't really change much based on what method of snoozefest is on the card for the night.
