| Werdum And Chuteboxer Are Ready For Napao Quote:
Just 9 days from the fight he himself deemed the most important of his career, Fabricio Werdum is already bringing down the rhythm of his training to avoid suffering any injury that might be of detriment to his performance against Gabriel Napao. The ADCC champion has, according to himself, a golden opportunity to return to the top of the UFC heavyweight division, which since Couture’s departure has been in need of a champion, a void the Southern Brazilian hopes to fill shortly.
The chuteboxer has already beaten the Team Link representative before, the took place at Jungle Fight 1 and was interrupted by the referee after Werdum threw a series of punches to his adversary from the mount. GRACIEMAG.com contacted the two-time Jiu-Jitsu World Champion what was getting aboard a flight for Porto Alegre, to visit his family.
“I was training intensively for six months, now I reached the final stretch and am bringing the rhythm down. My training was complete, lots of Jiu-Jitsu, muay thai and wrestling, but I think was I gained most was aggressiveness, which is what I lacked and Chute Boxe has to spare. Another positive point was that I didn’t have strong body structure for a heavyweight MMA fighter and now with all the physical conditioning I improved in that as well. This fight is very important, I have three more on my contract, and it’s fundamental for my future at the UFC,” said Werdum.
Departure for Newcastle, where UFC 80 will take place, on the 19th, is predicted for next week.

This fight should be good. I really enjoyed the first one.
I may be mistaken but i think Gonzaga wasnt even training full time when that fight took place.
GG has much improved but according to this article, so has Werdum
Either way, I predict second round TKO win for Gonzaga

If this guy come out slapping like his last fight there is just no hope. I mean if you cant learn how to strike from cro cop AND chute box then you should just give up.

How do you know it was a slap and not a palm strike which is common.
Thats like me saying if Gabe tries to stop the fight again to cry about his nose then he should just give up.
