Default prediction

this fight is definitely a great gauge on whether Houston Alexander deserves in the conversation of 205lb contenders. Irvin has proven to be an effective gate keeper. Given the nature of Houston's shoddy ground game I would feel after this fight perhaps a match against former Forrest/James Irvin opponent Hector Ramirez wouldnt be a bad fight for him as well given that his ground game is questionable and Ramirez is a wrestler mostly,so way to work on that ground game a bit without risking too much either.

this fight will likely not hit the ground at all, unless maybe Irvin decided to take it there...but when has that ever happened? this fight definitely ends with a brutal KO. if Irvin losses this fight, he will have had probably the worst year of luck any fighter has ever had...injury, DQ win, KO/TKO...need i say more? lol

I would actually rather see Houston take some time off and develop a decent ground game. I guess I can see why they would want to put him against Irvin, because it will be a standing slugfest, but that doesn't really help Houston as a fighter. He needs to develop his other areas further before he can ever hope to be a serious contender.
