Great interview, great guy, great fighter. For some reason, I get the feeling that Forrest's team outdo Page's on TUF, but the fight is a different matter...there's not really one guy I'm pulling for, so I can just sit back and enjoy a damn good fight when it finally happens.

The PRIDE belt needs to be won in a ring, under PRIDE rules. As a former PRIDE fighter, Quinton should know that.
I call bullshit, and I hope he never gets his belt. He should fucking know better.
I was looking forward to a great fight, without really favoring one fighter or the other, but now I hope Forrest absolutely destroys him.

rh | It was a unification bout, though...I don't hold it against him, though I do think he'd be/feel more validated if he beat Shogun and Wandy in the UFC. And its not like he's ever going to have a chance to fight under PRIDE rules again, in all likelihood.

rh | I dont think it was even his idea about unifying the belts, it was the UFCs idea. How can you blame him for that? Its not like hes complaining about not having it or anything
Ive always liked Rampage but not knowing about Machida and Soko... thats just wrong. I know he knew who they were but to not watch out for 2 top 10 fighters in your weight class is kind of dumb
I like him anyways though. Like he said, hes just a human being

He's a former PRIDE fighter, he knows what it means to actually, validly, win that belt. He didn't. He fought in a cage, with UFC rules. It had nothing to do with PRIDE.
He's willingly accepting a sham title, and validating the "unification bout" bullshit...What was different about that fight than any other UFC title fight?
Nothing at all.
I'd have tremendous respect for him if he'd had said "no, PRIDE belts, PRIDE rules...it's a dinosaur, extinct."
It's like buying a custom motorcycle instead of building it. And then pretending you built it so you can feel cool.
It's bullshit. Quote:

If it was a guy who never fought in PRIDE, I could understand--not agree, but at least understand. But he should know better.
And I hadn't even noticed about not knowing Soko and Machida, I agree, he's either trying to be funny, or he's dumb.

He cant say that cause if it was pride rules then it wouldnt get sanctioned, and Rampage and Henderson both agreed to do the bout under UFC rules and put the Pride title on the line, techincally its Hendersons belt so if he wants to defend it under UFC rules after they bought pride then so be it.
anyways
I cannot wait for The Ultimate Fighter, I love Forrest and Rampage, there both exciting fighters to watch and both hilarious and just good for the sport. Its gonna be a great fight, a great season, and I cant wait. Rampage will finally get his recognition after the show, I know he is now, but even more.

Rampage will finally get his recognition after the show, I know he is now, but even more. | Actually, Hendo said repeatedly the PRIDE belt was NOT on the line, that it would need to be earned in a ring, under PRIDE rules.
Go back and read the interviews before the fight.
They did some lame silver-and-gold unification belt for the actual fight, there was no mention at the time of an actual PRIDE belt.
I understand that Zuffa bought PRIDE, but this is like digging up the corpse of a once-hot dead chick so people who used to love her can fuck her.
It's just wrong.
If PRIDE is dead, let it rest in peace. No way did Rampage earn that belt.
