There was a huge thread on this the day after the fight happened. The general consensus was that Sakuraba is going to end up like Mohammad Ali. That fight should have been stopped 3 or 4 different and distinct times.

The Fedor/Fujita fight was amazing. Fedor was completely lights out and was just operating on pure instinct. If Fujita would have swung around and gone for a RNC instead of trying to pound Fedor out, he would have had a better chance in my opinion.

How about Vernon White and Liddell at UFC 49. If I remember correctly, White was winning that fight convincingly when he got caught by Liddell's stone-like fist.

I surprised nobody mentioned Fedor/Randleman.

When Fedor got slammed on his head I thought he was dead much less just lose the fight... in under thirty seconds he turned it into a kimura and submitted Randleman. That was pretty amazing.

and Scott Smith when Pete Sell went to finish him after that body shot (that may be classified as more luck than a comeback)

I gotta go with Hughes-Penn 2. Even though I'm not a big fan of Hughes, he was clearly losing that fight by a wide margin and then pulled it out.

Youre right about the two other fights but with saku and smirnovas that fight should have been clearly stopped!!! With fedor/fajita and white/chuck sure they were winning but a no point you were yelling like Adrian to "stop the fight" like i was during the saku fight but when he turned around to get the win damn that was impressive but not worth the risk of seeing a man permanently injured/killed in the ring
