2cents here I come...

I like Dana White. Dana and his buddies got connections. Because of Dana and some big shot's coming into the picture now, the sport is getting bigger DAY by DAY.

What's this mean for me/ the fans?
The bigger the sport, the more people become aware of this sport. The more people watch the sport, the more sponsors they get. The more sponsors they get, the more money they can spend.

EVENTUALLY, money talks:

Imagine in 10 years, a kid finds out a MMA champion earns $25million per fight... well then... this kid will start training at age 10 years old.... and at age 20 you get GSP x 100 = NEW CHAMP...

NOW, we get a bunch of kids training... that's when the fights will get interesting with round-house kick KO? WOOOW....
(think about NFL in 1940, think about NFL today... which players kick more assss?)

LONG STORY SHORT.... If UFC wanted to do a cheap deal with a network, it'll be done tomorrow... obviously UFC wants a bigger piece of the pie and it's in negotiations table.... MORE MONEY TO UFC... UFC HAS MORE MONEY.... UFC SPENDS MORE MONEY.... THE SPORTS TAKES ANOTHER STEP.


p.s. I don't care if HBO or NBC have to give up extra $100million... I WANT UFC to get it and SPEND IT!

I think Dana has done a good job up until this point, but he has ran his course. He was a great promoter and can be credited for making MMA what it is. But he is crude. That's what it took in the beginning. At this point they are legit and have their feet firmly planted in the ground. I think they need someone less crude and more business to run it from here. Dana needs to be a promoter and nothing more. I really see him no different than Don King. If he left with all the control from here, I think he is going to do more harm than good. No one wants to deal with a guy that you have to bleep every other word out od his mouth. I'd bet that is how he talks in big board meeting and negotiations because he "sounds cool" That crap is going to come back and bite him in the ass

Isn't Spike available in more homes then HBO? Sorry if I'm wrong about that but I thought they were.

In America and Canada yes, but when it comes to Asia, Europe and other Continent...HBO is very dominant, there are some other people in Asia/Europe know nothing about Spike tv but they have HBO on their cables.




I think that's what Dana want, to introduce The MMA Sports (but more on UFC) in other parts of the globe.
