Really ? Barnett easily subbed him in their fight. A mistake that Fedor does'nt make.

yea he did, but Aleksander obviously focuses on KO'ing people, rather than using his sambo skills.

and dont compare Fedor and Aleks. Completley different fighters. Both may have Sambo/Judo backgrounds, but the way they fight aren't the same.

Sergei is definitely Aleksander's biggest win to date, but I wouldn't put him up there with Fedor quite yet. He got subbed by Barnett and he tends to gas early. He needs to continue to work on his cardio. He needs a couple of more big wins till you put him up there in that elite status.

I'm really tired of the "he's young and still has time to grow and get better" excuse when a person is the 2004 sambo champion he has already had more than his share of experience. Not to mention he has good stand up and great power. He's just not as good as Fedor and I think a person is in there prime at a young age, fighters usually slow down in there 30s unless they just have so much skill slowing down doesn't really matter.

Wow, there's so many examples of fighters in "winning positions" in their 30's I don't know where to begin!

I would say a fighter in his 40's is where they need to hang it up (Tank A., Randy C., Ken S., ...etc)

Yes but some fighters deteriorate faster that others. Like Roy Jones, and a few others I can't remember.

Your right, maybe I took it a tad too serious. After all it's just opinions.
