I just came off watching UFC 80 again.
I definitely saw round 1 going to Lambert, but not in a dominating fashion, but that KO by Wilson....wow
all I can say is...wow

I think it'll be hard for Lambert to make 185. He looks like a big bastard that would have to cut ALOT of weight to make 185, though I don't know what he walks around at, so he may be able to. I'm just going by how he looks.

Seems after every event there is a joe rogan debate. All I have to say is, yes, he misses some points, gets things wrong at times, but really, have you heard the other orgs commentators? Not very good at all. There was one thing that I laughed at and I can't remember who said it, Joe or Goldberg, but after the first round of penn/stevenson, stevenson was all bloody and they were talking about how no fighter wants to win/loose by a cut, then answer me this, why throw elbows????

What I did notice was Joe commenting on how aggressive and confident Lambert looked (which he did) and he gave credit for doing a great job avoiding damage from the bottom (which he did) and the submission attempts from Gouveia. He gave him props for the triangle attempt and the omaplata attempts. But that's all they were, attempts. Lambert wasn't in danger any time (Until Gouveia dropped him) and controlled the action in the first round.

Gouveia only went for the guillotine attempts as an answer to Lambert's pressure and both times Lambert popped his head out to find himself in a dominant position.

I think people at times can be over critical of Joe's call. Do I agree with him all the time, no, of course not. He's under a microscope where we analyze every word that comes ouf of his mouth. Overall I enjoy his comments and in this case I thought he called the Lambert fight just fine. Cut the guy a break.
how much is rogan paying you?
