| Has anyone heard Dana/UFC talk about starting a SHW division before?
There are some really big guys out there, a few on ATT and some other elsewhere and hell even Mark Hunt that could be super heavy weights. Has anyone ever heard of them considering this possibility?

no, there is just not enough of them to be honest to actually make a SHW division. At least not a lot of good ones making it worth wild to see. I mean you have Hunt, Butterbean, Sapp, Zulu (not sure if he would make the list though) Thompson, Choi and who know who else. There are just not enough of them. I think Sapp, BB and Hunt would be in for it and would be good, but thats it really and maybe thompson. So it would fail IMO

American Top Team has a couple of 300 pound guys who look like they could moves despite their size. I just cant help but think that it could be pulled off. I kind of liek watching the freaks of nature fight too. They are def. a circus side show novelty but I guess I am a circus goer.

I also have spoken to him, yes he is a good grappler for sure and he could do well.

Lesnar would be a super heavyweight...I think he walks round @ like 275+pounds.....could be wrong though.
Until there are many talented SHW fighters, I think the UFC is fine with just HW.

if the UFC got every single good top 10 shw, it would not make for a good division. there's only a few decent SHWs out there and they're not even really worth watching to be honest. any SHW worth a damn could drop down to 265 if he just stopped buying cheetos. Antonio Silva already did it, now if Mark Hunt would do it i'd be content. other than that there's Butterbean and who else? Thompson gets knocked out everytime he runs at a guy, Zuluzhino Jr sucks, i could give a shit about Giant Silva and Akebono. who else is there? honesly?
what i'd rather see is a smaller break in the heavyweight division, like 206-245 or 250. most heavyweights dont cut weight and the ones that do are way bigger than the Cro Cops, Veras, and Coutures. i don't get why a 145 guy can't fight a 155 guy, but a 280 guy can fight a 211 guy.

Id like to see HW be 205 - 240 and SHW 240-265.
But I don't ever think that'll happen.
Oh well.

They already had a SHW division, see Tim Sylvia vs Gan McGee. I believe it was their only SHW fight. It was pretty boring, as can be expected by two fat freaks.
The more weight, the less exciting. I say add a division for anorexic women, man imagine how intense they would fight.

I think when you get into the shw, mostly what is out there are the "freakshow" contenders. We all know how the ufc is staying away from the freakshow matches. I do think they would be as popular in the states as in Japan.
