Mind you, I'm not a Sherk fan I actually hope BJ beats his ass in May. I'm just saying that if Sherk truly was innocent, and he has this entire thing to deal with, I'd be pretty pissed if I were him.

If it ends within 3 it almost certainly will be Penn victorious.
I don't know how is cardio is these days however so if it goes 5 I can see it going either way.
Obviously going for Penn however as that's definetly who I want to see win

There was tons of BJ hate before the Stevenson fight, and now it conveniently shifts to "well, Sherk is going to outlast him..." since Stevenson got utterly owned. I'd actually take Stevenson over Sherk 8 times out of 10, as Joe is a much more well-rounded fighter than Sean, with more tools to finish a fight.
I've said before, I think the Pulver rematch was a turning point in BJ's career...he's more focused and determined than ever. He's clearly willing to put the work in, and it shows.
I've had questions about a lot of fighter's...but BJ has answered my question about his commitment and his heart. If he can stay champion without getting distracted, this could be the start of a dynasty.

rh | I agree 100%. I also think that Stevenson would beat Sherk.

I've said it over and over but I'll continue to say the only thing that sherk has over bj is his cardio and i think a refocused and rededicated bj penn will stop sherk before cardio matters

I just say, bout damn time Penn is the LW champ. He deserves to wear the belt more than any other LW out there in my honest opinion. Whether or not he'll beat Sherk, hard to say. Both guys are freaks of nature. Sherk reminds me of a young Hughes, he's such a super strong guy, I don't know if BJ's outstanding skill can top that. Between UFC 82, and 85, it's a good year for fight fans.

Penn will win this by RNC. He'll outstrike Sherk, Sherk will shoot for him and BJ will work around that and Sub him. It won't be an exact replay of Sherk/GSP but Sherk's the one with the mountain to climb.

I think BJ will make Sherk work hard in this fight, which in-turn will keep Sherk trying to push the pace and a little less Lay n' Pray than usual
I see BJ coming out on top, but one thing is for sure, it will be a great fight
