Default Possible unfairness in Pride OWGP (Spoiler?)

I am NOT here to troll or what ever. BUT, watch CroCop vs Barnett. At approximately 9min 47 seconds you see what happens to Barnetts eye. It was an (unintentional) eye-poke via CroCop. It obviously was the reason Barnett tapped.

I think the eye poke may have been intentional. Watch CroCop's hand thrust toward Barnett's eye. His hand was NOT clinched as a fist. His fingers were obviously extended.

On purpose or no??

I am not a nut hugger of either of the two fighters. In fact, I believe CroCop was on the way to winning against Barnett regardless of the eye incident. I am merely pointing out something I can't avoid mentioning...

What do you think? (Watch it closely first!)

i highly doubt that crocop would've intentionally done something like that. he had already beaten silva methodically, as well with barnett...so so. and his hand may have been open merely to try and hold barnett down so he could continue to drop his hammer fists onto him, not to "poke him in the eye." i don't recall crocop ever fighting a fight in that manner.

I've watched that about 50 times, his fingers were not extended, merely open-fisted (I don't know the term) as opposed to leaving the fists tightened at all times.

unfortunately Barnett was losing anyways...eye pokes are the SHITTIEST way to end fights, but they happen...Randy/Vitor, Tito/Chuck, and now Mirko/Barnett. it was Mirko's night!

Yeah technically they should have given Barnett time to recover and put him back into that position but I highly doubt it was going to help (and he tapped so the fight was over by definition)

I think more unfair was the 3 min break Wandy got when they were inspecting his eye. It didn't help him but he still got a chance to fully recover.

Agreed, but the Vitor/Randy incident was not an eye poke. Vitor's glove grazed Randy and sliced his eye lid.

I watched it repeatedly in slo mo and it really looks accidental. When CC fingers make contact with Barnetts eye, CC is not looking directly at Barnett, but off to the side, he's just scrambling. Hope that made sense.
