I agree. I really love what the UFC is doing this last year or so with their aquisition. I hope they stock up in the HW and LHW division now.

Number of great fighters in Pride is far greater than the ones in UFC and you can't deny that.
And you don't see anything wrong with UFC events? UFC is making people pay $30-$40 for ONE good fight. I am sure you've seen the fightcards.
UFC 63 has Hughes Vs. Penn as a main event and then you got Swick Vs. Loiseau.
If UFC had a monlopoly in this industry it would be one thing and we will just take it up the ass. But when you see a company like Pride, you cant help but to compare the two and realize how much crap it is you are getting from UFC.
And why can't I bitch and criticize about UFC? As a fan, I feel like I am getting screwed here. :banghead:

There are plenty of good fighters out there in all the weight divisions. The UFC, however, refuses to sign them for fights. Every PPV card they have, maybe, two or if we’re lucky three good fights. The rest of the fights are the guys the UFC will sign for very little pay i.e. Danny Adabbi (if anyone will actually watch that fight).

These poor guys get thrown in the Octagon to make a name for themselves and the UFC pays them crap. These guys are trying to make a living, and some are trying support a family, and still the UFC pays them crap. Dana keeps telling everyone it took them six years to figure out how things work (when other organizations threaten to come to the USA). And how things work is to pay most fighters crap, and few fighters good, and pocket the rest. Wasn’t it Dana in a recent interview that said he’s got six cars, and he would mention the Ferrari. How’s that taking care of the fighters.

What you say is right but I could give a crap about how many cars and how much money they pocket.

What pisses me off is that the quality of UFC events just suck. Just as you said, I could care less about all the fights except for one or maybe two. I wish they would spend the money to bring in good fighters, so the fans would be entertained. Becuase I for one would much rather watch Pride over UFC based on the quality of programming.

i think the main problem right now is joe silva..the match maker..there is alot of talent in the ufc..the problem is the match ups..ufc has been blowing their load on the main event..putting maybe one other potentially good fight..and then stacking the rest of the card with either new comers, or guys that are good fighting guys making their debut..they need to officially rank these guys in each division, so we get the right match ups..im glad anderson silva is fighting rich franklin..but i would have liked to watch him fight lousseau, or riggs..shit even swick..they need the guys that are good fighting each other..it almost seem s like they put guys on a plan, like ok you'll fight like 2 or 3 guys that are ok, so we can market you as the next contender..we havnt had a excellent card since liddel couture 3..that was a card..mike whitehead vs keith jardine..joe riggs and nick diaz..frank mir and pe da pano..jeff monson and brandon lee hinkle..brandon vera and justin eilers..paul buentello fought..babalu fought..and then the main event..thats a fucking card..and that is were we need to get back too..if you see a guy has some talent and generally looks good, throw him in there with someone you know is good and really put him to the test..
