Does th UFC need to sign better fighters soon?

Does the UFC need to sign more top quality fighters soon? It seems that they are running out of tallent in all the divisions. They don't have alot of real contenders. They do have a few good fighters, but alot of these guys that they hype an't really that good. Leban for instance was killed by a guy at a higher level. Is it time to take it to the next level?

What r u talking abouT? Running out o ftallent in all divisions. The ufc's welterweight division is so stacked they have 8-10 top ten welter weights. Light heavy has the no 1 pls 3 others. The middleweight also has the no.1 guys as well as others. Think about what u say first. Dont generalize

Agreed.

Their heavyweight division definitely needs some more talent and their lhw pool is not bad but not great either. IMO

Fedor Emelianenko, Mirko Cro Cop, Josh Barnett, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Tim Sylvia, Andrei Arlovski, Aleksander Emelianenko. Decent list of the top HW in the world. How many are UFC?

Dude, the UFC has good fighters, but you could pick any of those non UFC guys, and on any given day they have a good chance to Beat Sylvia. Now who in the UFC could do the same. Monson? Maybe?
It's the same with Chuck, who in the UFC really has a good shot, a really good shot? Rich, and Matt are in the same way, after GSP and Anderson who is at the same level?

HW-Definately.They should've had TUF be HW's instead of MW's and WW's.There's plenty of HW's they could signed for the show and it would've gave the UFC HW division a bit of a kick which it really needs.

LHW-Yes, they have the best LHW in the world Chuck and a great LHW in Babalu and some good up and comers they lack depth. They should've signed Rampage when they had the chance.

MW-It's pretty good. There's a lot of good fighters in this division.I wish the'd resign Lindland though(I'm a big Team Quest fan).

WW-Stacked

LW-In a few years UFC will rule the LW division. This division is just starting out and is already stacked.I wish the'd resign Josh Thomson though. He was beating Yves untill he got caught with that carzy head kick. He's still a very good fighter who belongs back in the UFC.

UFC needs more HW and LHW, that's about it.

I don't agree with Killerinstinct about the LW division. Yes, it's good, but Bushido LWs are light years ahead right now.

I said in a few years it would rule the LW scene.UFC's LW division has a lot of great young up and comers and some good veterans and is a very exciting division. In a few years it'll be the best division in the UFC.

I'm not saying the UFC doesn't have tallent. I'm just saying they need more tallent that will really challenge the UFC Champs now, not in three years. Who in the UFC can you say is better or as good as the current champs? Who would not be the underdog in the Title fight?

domination 09-12-2006 07:15 PM

if you put ufc and pride together who would dominate? the only reason why the ww division is stacked is because pride doesnt have one. if they did they would dominate that division as well

Bushido has great young LWs and most of the current top 10 LWs. I do like what UFC is doing with their new LW division. It's my favorite division to watch by far.
