| Your Favorite Fighter in 5 Years
where do you see him/her in MMA.
Gegard Mousasi = in less than 5 years, i gurantee he'll be top 5 in MW. Hopefully he signs with UFC eventually. He's been training with the Red Devil guyz for a while and he's continually evolving. if he can move down to WW, i'd want to see him beat the shit out of Parisyan. Armenian vs Armenian. i gurantee the ppv buys would be at their highest. Fight Finder - Gegard Mousasi's Mixed Martial Arts Statistics

Well my favorite fighter is Rich Franklin, but he is in a tough spot right now. In five years, I see him in another org or something. Hard to say on that one. BJ is my other favorite. In 5 years I see him with the WW belt. I also like Joe Lauzon...and in 5 I see him on top of the LW division.

my favorite fighter is, always has been, and will always be Vitor Belfort. hes had rough times and lost some fights but im sure within the next 5 years he will make a comeback. there is a rumor going around that vitor wants to get back to the ufc and he's been training his ass off. one of the guys from my gym just came back from brazil and said that he saw vitor numerous times at a particular just training like crazy so my fingers are crossed. i wanna see the old vitor back

Dan Henderson
Hes on his way out though, after him would be BJ, Rampage, Werdum, Joe Daddy, and Shields.

Right now its a 3 way tie between Wand/chuck/Shogun but in 5 years i will bet on shogun being the LHW champ. i am also a big nick diaz fan and if he can get his shit together and stop flippin the bird to everyone i'll say he'll be a force at 55.

A serious focused Nick Diaz, if he gives it his energy like BJ has given MMA his energy, will give just about any 155'er in the world all they want.
My favorite fighter of course is Diego Sanchez.
If you'd asked me a year ago I'd say that in 5 years Diego would be, or would have been, WW champ of the UFC, but after back to back losses exposing holes in his game (stand up game against Kos although Diego was not the same Diego in that fight, let's not pretend; and strength/size vs. Fitch even though I'm in the minority that believes Diego won that fight), I'm not so sure.
I believe Diego will remain a top-10 WW in the world (not only UFC) for as long as he fights, which alone is highly respectable; but I've had to face the likelihood that, especially with GSP around, he might not ever win the belt.
If he ever does move down to LW he'll still be a big force in that weight class; I see him beating Daddy, Huerta, Zoolander, and others, but most likely not BJ Penn. Penn would have a good chance to be the first fighter to stop him, which would be horrific for me to watch

BJ Penn: Within five years, he might have possibly defeated all legit challengers to the LW and WW titles and just retired. If not, he'll still be holding one of those belts.
Chuck Liddell: After defeating Wandy for a second time in his final match, he'll retire a HOF shoe-in.
Clay Guida: Having tightened up his strike defense, he'll be in the top 5 LW in the world.
