I was really looking forward to Matt Serra outstrategizing him and finally putting him in his place. Hughes would put up a tough fight but Serra's jiu-jitsu is too good and he won't gas like BJ Penn did.

I already see GSP winning against Serra so I think Matt will get his wish and we will see the fight we were waiting to see before Serra got injured.

I think I'm probably the only person in this forum that wants to see Hughes get his ass kicked again. I can't see Hughes getting a title shot anytime soon if GSP beats Serra. Especially since GSP pretty much walked through him there last 2 fights. I can see a hughes vs. Penn in the future though.....

I really want to see Hughes fight Serra so this is good news. I think it will be a very competitive fight.

Serra can outstrike Hughes all day long, and his jits is crazy. He has a tendency not to finish, but I can see him putting Hughes away in the later rounds provided he doesn't gas or constantly get taken down.

A country boy CAN survive..and I a happy to hear this. No excuses from Hughes, a humble loss and blame where it should be: on himself.

I'm not a Hughes fan, but I'm glad he is sticking around. There are some good fights for him left and he is a legitimate legend in the sport.
Hughes v. Serra = Serra wins
Hughes v. Fitch = Fitch wins
Hughes v. Kos = Hughes wins
Hughes v. Sanchez = Hughes wins
I would personally like to see Davis v. Hughes, I think that would be exciting.

Bad move IMO...but I will not pass judgment on his skills. I would watch him fight any day of the week.

Please Serra won't know what to do against Hughes all he could do with Hughes on top pounding him out is say FUCK since that is the only thing he ever says. After GSP stomps him then Hughes will have his way with him, Serra is a fluke and one punch wonder.
Now the argument with Fitch is that he's not experienced enough Hughes would out smart him. I really like Fitch though.
