Serra wasn't throwing wild shots, he was pretty accurate with most of his standup, which had improved significantly since even the Lytle fight. | I just re-watched it a few times, slowly. The first 2 minutes was basically a feeling out process, I wouldnt say it looked like he was picking his shots though. The next 57 seconds are occasional exchanges, still feeling out though. Then at the 2:57 mark (2:03 left) Serra hit him with a looping overhead right which was not timed and looked wild. GSP does not recover from this punch, and I stand by my statement that it was a lucky punch.[/QUOTE]

Thing is, Serra didn't have to be pinpoint accurate in that fight...GSP's issue with duckin' and weavin' is pretty well-documented.
All I'm saying is, Serra fought that fight exactly like he was supposed to. If it had gone past that point, I'm not sure it would have ended in GSP's favor, and Serra is still a bad matchup for Hughes.

I hope Serra wins... | I want to see GSP vs Serra and Hughes vs Serra. Both should be good fights. Aside from the hating/nut-hugging you hear, the truth is there already has been some good back and forth between these guys.

Hughes was a great cat.
That being said, he is done and will get his ass kicked by any real opponent.
GSP, Pen, Word!
