What are they smoking over there at MMA Weekly
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION
Chuck Liddell number 1 Mauricio "Shogun" Rua number 2 Wanderlei Silva 3
It should be
1.Wanderlei Silva
2.Chuck Liddell
3.Mauricio "Shogun" Rua
And don't get me started with the MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION.

Boone when are you going to update your rankings? | Um yeah these rankings suck! First of all, Melendez should be higher! Marquardt shouldn't even be on there! Overeem and Griffen shouldn't be on there! And I don't care if he is "the best in the world"... a guy who hasn't fought in almost a year shouldn't be #1, that being Fedor!
IMO the only thing they have right is Chuck being the #1 LHW...oye vey!

Do they have a sister named Antonia?

And don't get me started with the MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION. | Thank you. WTF is wrong with these MMA weekly people on. Wand is still the middle weight champion and still has beaten every MW/LHW who ever challenged him in pride.

If this is a stupid noob question, please disregard. Why hasn't MMANEWS come out with the ranking since April???
I really glad to see Nick Diaz back in the hunt. War Diaz.

lol not sure about their parents. I don't really know how the naming process works in Brazil. Glad I could help you clarify things, though with the 2 brothers. Welcome to PRIDE.

Welcome to PRIDE. | Can you believe it, until about a year ago I had the impression that Pride was full of UFC washouts. I was given Return of the Warriors as a present. I live out in the boonies so until I switched from C-band to a mini dish I couldn't get the PPVs either. Waited for UFC DVDs.
Now before anyone freaks out on my Pride impression, think about it. Lot's of entertainers that are washed up in the US do great in Japan. I stayed away from forums cause they were either filled with haters or idiots or both. Until recently, hell it was hard to find someone who had even heard of mma. So my inital impression stuck and I never paid much attention to Pride.
I'm having to play catch up now. Just bought the Pride 12-16 and Championship Chaos II for a little history. I know I want to get the DVD that has Rampage wailing on Chuck. I've heard so much about it on this forum, I must see it myself. I've only seen Rampage fight in Gladiator Challenge and KOTC. It'll be interesting to see how much he improved.
Do you, or anyone else, have any suggestions for any other must buy Pride DVDs? You can send me a PM if you don't want to hijack this thread any more that I already have. Thanks |

I really glad to see Nick Diaz back in the hunt. War Diaz. | Boone concentrates mainly on reporting the MMA News. He runs a couple of Pro Wrestling sites as well so I imagine he doesn't have much time to post monthly unofficial rankings.
But I understand what you mean, it's nice to have updated MMA Rankings.

Thanks | They do have some UFC washouts, but that's mainly to appeal to the American audiance, so they have some names that they are familiar with. I'll PM you some PRIDE DVDs I recommend.
