If Sherk want to have even the slightest chance here he'd better shrug Penn's comments off and start focusing. Anger can help you but it can hinder you even more, and the last thing he needs now is another loss, especially to Penn. | I don't think there's anything really wrong with him admitting it. In fact, I think it's pretty cool that he didn't deny it. I don't care who you are, when someone talks shit about you it registers, and since Sherk clearly feels like it's still his title (which I am still on the fence about his usage) I can see it really being much worse. I could see it not bugging him if it's some random nobody. but to be disrespected by BJ after all the shit he's talked? Oh yeah, of course it hit a nerve.
I don't think Penn is going to fare so well against Sherk. There's nobody that can overpower sherk in that division and clearly that's what he's hoping to exploit with BJ.

Edgar, Florian, and Griffin need a few more wins. | Ya but so what if hes the only other tough fight in the division (not really though considering Griffin is more well rounded, and Edgar is a better wrestler) look at Roger Huerta.. hes on a Fitch-esque streak, why does Sherk get an immediate title shot without having to fight anyone for it after testing positive for steroids? its a slap in the fact to Griffin, Kenflo, and Huerta who have to be wondering.. why am I busting my ass beating all these top fighters if it appears that testing positive for steroids is a better way to get a title shot?

I personally have no problem with Sherk or him getting pissed. Who the hell wouldnt? The hints of BJ being able to walk on water, change water into wine, etc. is bound to get old...especially when its about someone who's in a division you are champion of. But like was said, this is Penn's game. Get into his head. The thing is, tho, that Sherk doesnt have anything to get into Penn's head with like Jens did. You could see how it KILLED BJ that Jens had that win over him. I definately am looking forward to the buildup of this fight. Finally, IMO, if Huerta doesnt get the winner of Sherk/Penn, something's definately wrong.

Ya gotta respect Penn, he says: Sherk, your dead and tries to leave, but when Sherk comes into the cage he's all: it's gonna be a great fight and shakes his hand. Way to man up B.J.

Well, I think that BJ did that because he knew Sherk would come running in the cage and speak his mind. Then BJ could come back in, shake Sherk's hand, tell him its going to be a good fight, and come out looking like the better man. It was all a plan on BJ's part and it worked. I mean look at the comments Sherk made to the crowd. With that being said, a mad Sherk is going to be hard to handle. He is already strong as hell and now that he is mad.....BJ can definately plan on fighting from the ground. I mean this type of fight can go either way. I am pulling for BJ though.

I have never liked Sherk, he fights to not lose. He is the king of boring 5 rounders...
Bj is a far more exciting champ...
Sherk testing positive was just icing on the I hate you cake...

That being said I don't really like either of these guys but I hope Penn wins, I just wish he would have been man enough to speak his mind to Sherk's face.

I really dont know that this fight will go to the ground that much. If Hughes could not take him down why should sherk be able to? If Penn is in great shape again I dont see any 155 touching him. I honestly cant wait for him to win against sherk and fight GSP at 170. Penn got robbed in that fight last time.

Did anyone else notice that Sherk said you have to beat the champ to be the champ, yet he beat Kenflo to get the belt?
