Default PRIDE. Coming to US in OCT. Success or Not?

Pride is coming to the US and they will slowly increase their marketing in the US.

What are your thoughts on the chances Pride has in overtaking UFC?

I think most of UFC fans dont know much about Pride and will stick with UFC.

I would much prefer they unify and form one awesome MMA league. But then, I guess thas a long shot.....

Why did I even write this post? Such a dry topic ....

pride's chances in overtaking ufc is very great seeing as 2 of pride's best are fighting 2 of ufc's....uhhhhhhh good fighters. if fedor and rua defeat coleman and randleman it'll prolly open ufc viewers eyes as to the seriousness of competition that pride has and get into it. but if ufc's randleman and coleman defeat fedor and rua, then thats a whole different story.

Ultimately i think Pride will be successfull I mean those out there that watch Pride know how great it is but sadly the viewers in America are relatively few.

Yes the october show will open a few eyes, but still think Pride has a while before they hit it as big as the UFC in the states. All will happen one day but dont think it will just be over night based on one PPV.

That's a win win situation. Could you imagine if Coleman beat Fedor? MMA as a whole would turn upside down. But even better, Coleman would get so much promo in the US people would definatly watch pride because it would be stressed how good Fedor is and that he is undefeated. Randleman accually has a slim chance of beating Rua, he's still young and has retard strength, and experience. And he did knock out the best striker in the world today!!!

Default Pride will do great in the US

I think Pride fighting will be very successful here in the U.S. A little bit more brutal than the UFC and I think people would like to see MMA in a ring although I prefer the cage. Kicks to the ground and kneeing a downed oppenent is what will make pride successful! I know I like to see it and I think that the UFC should allow it. UFC should also limit the clinching and time on the ground like Pride does, it makes a better fight!

P.S. Maybe it will make Dana pull out the big money for better cards.
