With the UFC suing heavyweight champion Randy Couture over Couture’s decision to walk away from his contract, the heavyweight title remains in limbo. White challenged Couture on Thursday to end the infighting.

“Come on Captain America, step up and be a man and give these guys the opportunity to win the title,” White said.

“He’s the heavyweight champion. He signed a contract with us less than a year ago and I expect him to honour it. And I expect him to be a standup guy and give these guys the opportunities they gave him.”

Dana has a right doing that, Randy signed a contract to him and he should honour it...to being honest i am starting to loose some respect for Randy b/c of this.

Yeah agreed. Randy should've put an end to this a long time ago and just honored the rest of his contract. It's almost getting tiring talking about it now.

yeah randy should have put it to rest, but the both of them need a little lesson in being respectful. This shouldn't even be discussed in the media.

Though i don't think Dana has much choice at this point.

Saying little things like this are good for the UFC to do because they temp Randy to say more dumb shit that is only going to get him in trouble in court. But the key is for them to stick with statements like that one where they are basically saying "Come on fullfill your contract". There is response to that simple statement that won't make you look worse other than accepting.

He can finish his contract or he can retire - he is bound legally by the agreement, either way. It annoys the fuck out of me having him portray himself as the victim. And his false suggestion that he didn't get the fighting bonuses was kind of odd.
