Lightbulb Joe "The Diesel" Riggs

Just wondering what everyone out there thinks of Riggs. I personally thought that he was gonna be wiped out of the UFC after having several loses because of his one sided fight game (throwing punches).
After seeing his last fight and him being in the lower weight class I think he has made huge improvements. Just my thoughts I think he will be in the mix and move up pretty quickly if he continues to progress the way he is. Besides the guy is a monster for that weight class.

Default Joe "The Diesel" Riggs

I believe that Riggs has the size and talent to be a monster in that division. His only problem is consistency. For a young guy, he has a whole lot of fights and at this stage he should be able to identify his oponent's weaknesses and capitalize on his strengths. Riggs is a big welterweight with KO power. If he works on his takedown and submission defense he will be a handful for anyone. I give Riggs another year and he will be a top ranked welterweight (top ten).

That kid has so much potential it's crazy. I've seen him look good at times and then he goes out against a ranked guy and loses...i think he folds under pressure easy.

riggs is underated and talented.however inconsistancy and weight problems have stopped him reaching his potential.with a couple of more fights i think he should get another shot at hughes.he just needs to up his game a bit improve his ground skills and submissions as his striking is impressive.

unfotunantly yo gotta wonder how much he can progress in the ufc at 170, or if he went back to 185 when two guys in his camp are the champs at hose weight classes..how much focus is pat miletich gonna put on riggs..if he is gonna stay in that camp..i think he should go over to pride..i think he would be better over there at 185

Billy Rush says that Riggs is " The most talented guy I've ever worked with ." That's saying alot considering that Rush has worked with guys like Rich Franklin and Matt Hughes. Rush and Riggs both say that he is more comfortable making 170 now than before. In my opinon Riggs seems to fold under the spotlight and obviously has the physical talents to be a champion and needs to focus on the mental part of fighting.

Riggs spends most of his time tranning in Utah with Jeremy Horn's camp not with Miletich's camp. He has verry little ties with Miletich and obviously has no problem fighting guuys from his camp as evident by his fight with Hughes.

What makes you think that Riggs would'nt fold under he spotlight of 50,000 people if he has trouble preforming in front of 15,000 ?
