I think you may have a point there but also try taking shots to the back of the head from a 300lb muscle bound dude who supposedly wears 3XL gloves.

Good dominating win, but honestly I think he looked really sloppy. I think Heath was just overwhelmed by his aggression and didn't know how to respond. There was no fluidity to his strikes, it looked like he was just swinging wild. But hey, a win's a win. He beat the crap out of the guy. I'd love to see him polish up he technique a bit. If not, he becomes the next Houston Alexander. Good win though.

- The Heavyweight title is being contested, the action is moving rather well, but we get a 1/4 screen advertisment for the next two PPVs and a UFN during the fight. That is laughable.

So now what? Does Frank Mir get the title shot that Lesnar was likely to get had he won? Do they throw Almeida into title contention after dispatching a TUF reject? Will Lesnar and Sylvia ever be pitted against real grapplers again? With the UFC running things, there is no telling.
With the punch to the head, I agree.. I was just like.. WHAT THE HELL? (Even though I wanted Mir to win.. a point deduction with stupid)

1/4 screen advertisements? Maybe you need to adjust your screen dude.. because the only on screen advertisements I saw (and I don't think I noticed ANY during the main event) were in the corner of the screen and were as big as the usually were (1/16 of the screen).

----------
Lesnar would not have gotten a title shot for beating Mir. Mir has looked really good since he came back and he is one fight from a title shot (against a good opponent of course).

Who said anything about Almeida getting a title shot?

Why would Sylvia (who Dana has no use for) be protected from grapplers?
Why wouldn't Lesnar fight another grappler?

What I really want to know is.. why all the speculation?

Keep in mind Yundt and Boetsch (sp) were both last minute replacments (one on 3 days notice and the other on 10 days). What do you expect Goldie and Rogan to say? "Well fans you might as well go to the can cause this one should be pretty one sided"

I also enjoyed this UFC!

A couple highlights i enjoyed...

-When Boetsch tossed Heath into the cage like a mis-behaving child

-Sylvia's post fight: "He (Nogueira) does the same thing in every fight. The guy goes out and gets his ass kicked for the first half of the fight... He's a legend"

-Bruce Buffer almost getting KTFO by the camera guy in the ring before on of the fights

-Joe Rogans reference to a superman punch as "A flying knuckle-sandwich"

I'm not sure what people expect from guys like Rogan and Goldie. They are just promoting the sport as best they can. I have no problems with them at all

Say what you want...i know the haters will hate but Big Poopy was doin pretty fuckin good last night before gettin submitted. I think Tim showed that he IS a good fighter... and Randy Couture needs to step up and fight NOG.

I think Tim did good.. but less effective than all of those who manhandled Nogueira before him.

Sapp and Cro Cop, for example, were just plain wrecking Nogueira.. Nogueira was getting thrown and clobbered by Sapp and Cro Cop was picking him apart and successfully avoiding all take downs up until the end.

Nogueira was getting Tim down and Nogueira was landing shots on Tim.

There is no doubt that Sylvia is a top ten fighter... anyone who says otherwise is simply being a hater.

But Tim is not the best at any ONE thing in the HW division. He isn't...

Tim did a good job though. I thought Nog was going to get him down and sub him in around 1 (and he almost did at the end). Tim impressed me and he gets a little more credit for his performance.
