| UFC 81 - Post Thoughts Thread
A few things that we should all take away from UFC 81 "Breaking Point"
The title of this PPV might be the most perfect title ever. I've just about reached my "Breaking Point" with the UFC.
- I'm sick and tired of hearing Goldie and Rogan, try to legitimize or put over fights with less than stellar matchups. Obviously anything can happen, but do we think Rob Yundt had any chance against Almeida. The guy was 7-0 fighting in Alaska? And others. Yes David Heath was a favorite that lost, but that fight was a laugher too (on paper).
- I fully support Zuffa's stance against Randy Couture, but barring him from the building and refusing to tell us which camp his fighter are from. Only saying that they train in Las Vegas. Crap!
- We had two fights that the fighters continually punched the back of the head and they were warned repeatedly, but the action was never stopped or a point taken. Lesnar threw 2 punches to the back of the head and was punished. (IMO in an attempt to extend the fight to milk more exposure from the fight.)
- The Heavyweight title is being contested, the action is moving rather well, but we get a 1/4 screen advertisment for the next two PPVs and a UFN during the fight. That is laughable.
So now what? Does Frank Mir get the title shot that Lesnar was likely to get had he won? Do they throw Almeida into title contention after dispatching a TUF reject? Will Lesnar and Sylvia ever be pitted against real grapplers again? With the UFC running things, there is no telling.

What are you talking about?
I saw no 1/4 screen ads during the title fight, and I thought I saw Randy enter the cage during Tyson's post fight interview.

| Tim Boetsch!?
Wow in the night where hype is defeated by experience and Nog winning in his usual fashion and The Great has some intensity. I have to say that Tim Boetsch from the IFL came out more impressive then the rest, ok yeah he isn't as big as the rest of the names in UFC 81 but with technical style coming from Jeet Kune Do(Bruce Lee) he really came out impressive to me. Even though he fought David Heath who in his last fight got his ass whooped by Babalu. What does everyone think?

Yea no ad's here either, could be where your located maybe? Randy was there, he was also in the ring giving tyson instructions between rounds, only thing UFC did was not keep the camera zoomed out so u couldnt see him. You could hear him though.
Can you really blame them for not advertising his camp, and him in general? There are proceedings against him, so it would be smarter not to. Either way I would like to see both parties drop it, and Randy just drop the matter and fight Nog, although i doubt its likely to happen.

I think he did great against Heath, especially on 10 days notice. He looked a bit out of shape, and was really slow on his punching. He did well though, kinda looked like a stockier version of Chuck, but a lot slower. Would be nice to see him with a full 8-12 week camp.

And Werdum gets the title shot next as was already stated after UFC 80. Even had Lesnar won, he wouldn't have gotten the shot.

I think that dude has a big bright future. They said He is a wrestler and looked pretty good standing up. The toss into the cage was incredible!
