When they Remake 16 Candles (and they will) I guarantee you that aspect will be changed. Oh yeah.

Back to the point at hand I don't think Dana's comments were meant to have a racist slant but he wanted to say that Choi is a nobody who's name isn't even worth mentioning or remembering. However Dana's tactless lockeroom talk (the norm for the UFC president) isn't always the best way to express oneself in front of an open mic.

Dana does whatever he wants, that's why it's funny. He's not an uptight suit and you know you love him. My fiancee is Vietnamese and if she, or even her dad for that matter, read this, they wouldn't give two shits. If I call her up and ask her if anyone around her is offended by this stupid offhanded comment, will that make everyone stop saying Dana is a tool?

I see where you're coming from, but to say that it's "in NO WAY" racist is just untrue. Just because one actor decided that he would play a part that can be construed as racist, doesn't make the role automatically unracist. That's like saying that it's ok to objectify women because the women agree to play part that objectify them.

At this point we're by saying that Dana is being unprofessional. Either remember the fighter's name, or refer to him as "Fedor's last opponent." Just imagine the uproar if Dana had forgotten Chieck Kongo's name, and instead of calling him "Crocop's last opponent" he had called him Rerun.

I thought it was funny and laughed. I also think it was wrong for Dana to say that.

I laugh at a lot of things that i shouldn't, does it bother me, not really.

Sure Dana came off as a racist but is that how he meant it, idk. If he did then thats fucked up, but if he didn't then thats a different story.

Do you know how hard it is to find someone who has never laughed at a racist joke, or told a racist joke, or said a racist comment. When that day comes I will shake their hand, because I find it hard to believe that someone can go their entire life without telling a joke or laughing at them or saying a racial comment.

I have told them before, I laugh at them, and i even say racial slurs. Does that make me a bad person, idk maybe but do i care, not really.

Thing is my step brother is mixed, i have a bunch of mexican cousins, have black, asian, female, an other friends. I included Female because to me telling a blonde joke or a female joke is the same as a black joke or mexican joke.

But something i find interesting is i hear comments Rampage makes and people laugh an say oh golly g that was super funny. Now Dana says it an he is the Anti Christ. I don't care if Dana is the president because if Rampage can say it an not get shit Dana should be able too. I just think a lot of people use anything Dana says or does and bash him for it because they don't like him.

I do, when i can't remember someones name i just start calling them out until they respond or correct me. I think its better then saying hey you.

Aye, I can't see either of my asian-american friends (or their parents) giving two shits either - but then they're used to silly assed American culture.

I would think it's fairly obvious Dana didn't mean anything by it, but the fact remains it probably would have been better for the company if he would have used common sense and processed this shit though his head before opening his mouth in the moment. There are times when a business man needs to act like a business man, not the average bear.
