although I can understand and certainly respect the thought process behind it. I'm afraid to count out anderson silva. I'm rooting for Hendo but I'm not gonna call this a sure thing for either fighter cuz they are both so dominant at their strengths

not too many people are counting on this fight hitting the ground...i have a feeling this fight takes a lot of time on the ground. its still tough to call, but im going with Hendo for now...

Greco Roman clinch can be a bad match up for the Muay Thai clinch (and that is coming from a Muay Thai student who has worked with both clinches).

In all honesty, Silva should stay away from the clinch and pick Hendo apart with strikes. That is his best shot at winning. Once he wears Hendo down, maybe he should get into the clinch then.
True. I train too; and I've had wrestlers take me down from there. The advantage Siva's plumb clench has is that he can engage it at slightly greater range than that of the greco-roman clench. In addition, he has longer arm reach than Hendo as well. I agree; he should try to do damage at distance, then get the clench when Hendo is stunned.

This will be a great fight. Both men are excellent in their respective strengths and all around this is an even matchup. IMO, Dan will wear Silva down in the later rounds and TKO his way to victory.

im gonna pick silva. although dan has never been KOed b4 i think it may be time for a 1st. also i think anderson will stay away and strike until he stunns dan or just has an opportunity for a quick knee.

also anderson strength is being underrated though IMO.
