| How is Joe Doerksen still under Zuffa?
Ok I just looked at the UFC 83 card and saw Joe Doerksen is fighting Jason MacDonald. Not a bad fight, but then I started to think - when did he last win in the UFC? So I looked at his record under Zuffa and he has:
Ed Herman - Loss
Paulo Filho - Loss
Nate marquardt - Loss
(now we get older fights)
Matt Lindland - Loss
Patrick Cote - Win
Joe Riggs - Loss
So of his 6 Zuffa fights - he lost 5 of them and the one he won was way back in 2005. Its not like Joe is a name that puts asses into seats so why is he still with Zuffa? I mean we all know that basically if you lose 2 fights in a row you are put on the undercard and if you lose that fight, well then you are pretty much either let go or relegated as a can oh which he is already based on the 3 most recent fights.
He has a decent record, but damn. Leave the UFC and go headline another promotion where you might actually stand a chance at making a name and gather a following.

because hes tough as fuck
all those guys to beat him are highly regarded, and have been top 10, except Herman.
but he'll earn that eventually, i think.

It's not just because he's Canadian and this card is in Canada, its also becuase he's the MW version of Tank Abbot. What do I mean you ask?
-- Guy NEVER turns down a fight, no matter how short the notice.
-- Guy never lulls you to sleep trying to eek out a safe decision.
-- Last but not least, he's tough as Korean steel and always puts on good fights.
War Doerkson!

For what it's worth Elvis Sinosic has lost 6 or 7 in a row in the UFC.

War Doerkson! | Agreed.
I for one love that fact that Doerksen is fighting on the Canada card. He never puts on a boring fight, and causes big trouble for anyone hes ever matched up against. He may have a big loss record in UFC. But look at the guys he got paired with, also plenty of those fights were on extremly short notice. In his last fight in UFC, Herman was literally saved by the bell.
