People can be idiots, in fact Ive seen almost 10 people say how anderson isn't a PRIDE fighter becuase he only fought there 4 times in one sentence, and then in the next sentence talk about how big of a let down Sokodjou and James Lee were.

another funny thing is that PRIDE has no welterweight division, and the best lightweight with PRIDE experiance fighting for the UFC is currently Dokojonosuke Mishima. So PRIDE has done pretty good i must say

LOL I do want Pride back but just mostly for the rules and presentation and god that music made me soil myself.... Much better than the UFCs lame gladiator opera/face the pain corny metal music.

Agreed, i liked the whole overall presentation and the show they put on. I liked the ring, rules, music, more fights, bascially I loved everything that was PRIDE FC.

Just curious, since I wasn't on the message board back in the days, but were people bitching about Liddell/Rampage in Pride saying the UFC sucked over it? Pride:

a) has 3 UFC champions
b) had a few bad outtings with their top guys (mainley Cro Cop and Shogun who will rebound)

I take nothing away from UFC fighters, just as I wouldn't with Pride. Neither comparison is necessary. I also wonder if people looked at Barnett doing awesome in Pride or even Rico doing good in the UFC (he was in Pride before) and Jens doing not so good in Pride, or do they just constantly bring up the Pride guys losing in this futile battle of Pride vs UFC!

Yes Pride isnt doing as well as people thought it would in the UFC, certain Pride fighters are failing but still..

Not only are 3 of the UFC champions from Pride but.. look at the #1 contenders

MW.. Dan Henderson.. From Pride

HW.. Fabricio Werdum.. From Pride

I mean there failing in certain divisions like LHW.. in fact, its just LHW where Pride is failing.. I wouldnt even consider Wandy a failure.. he fought a Top 5 LHW Pride or UFC so.. but Shogun is really the only one.

Its just plain stupid at this point to claim that the UFC is getting there asses kicked, or Pride is getting there asses kicked.. there even at this point.

Thats what I was wondering. Wasn't Pride all corrupted by the Yakuza? I know Rampage has openly talked about the powers that be in Pride offering him more $$ for a loss than a win. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe it was the Kazushi Sakuraba fight.

Ha. Shit I just posted all that in the Zuffa suing DSE thread. I was on holidays during that period and never saw it here.

But that article just goes to show what kind of a clusterfuck it was behind the scenes at Pride.
