| Report: Sakakibara preparing lawsuit against Fertittas Quote:
There are more details leaking out in regard to Pride FC Worldwide Holdings (a.k.a. Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, the majority owners of the UFC) filing a lawsuit in Clark County (Nevada) court last Friday against Dream Stage Entertainment, Dream Stage Holdings and DSE president Nobuyuki Sakakibara.
The Fertittas’ suit makes claims of being defrauded millions of dollars from the sale of Pride FC and Pride Bushido. So, what does that mean, you ask? Well, MMAWeekly.com is one site that has delved into some specifics:
Dream Stage was supposed to go through a background check and drug testing to ensure compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Fertittas’ gaming license in Nevada.
Operate words: GAMING LICENSE. I really don’t know how I can stress that enough. GAMING LICENSE.
It also looks like the situation could escalate further in short order, according to Sherdog.com:
A source close to DSE told Sherdog.com on Tuesday that Sakakibara was preparing his own suit against the Fertittas for breach of contract stemming from the decision to shut Pride down last October.
Perhaps the UFC vs. PRIDE feud isn’t over after all?
You know, it seems like both sides in the deal are unhappy. Why not an even exchange? Zuffa gets their money back and DSE gets PRIDE back?
Or maybe they could do the whole bizzarro dream concept on bad TV shows where someone is shown waking up and everything that took place in the past three episodes suddenly never really happened?

The UFC vs. PRIDE feud isn’t over indeed.

i fucking want pride back. | Everyone who hates seeing the UFC guys pummel the Pride guys say that... I like the deal personally... Love having NOG, CC, Rua, Wandy, etc... in the UFC... There are going to be some AMAZING fights this year with them involved.
Fedor and Gomi had their Chance, as well as Arona.... Bustamante, Coleman are mid carders at best now, and Randleman and Barnett could still happen down the road.

i fucking want pride back. | Where exactly would that money come from? PRIDE didn't die because of Dana White's black heart, like some people like to believe, but from that whole "not having a TV deal/enough money" thing, which is a wee bit problematic when running a company. It's not like giving the company back would do anything except.... well it wouldn't do anything

so they didnt get EVERY good fight from PRIDE, so what? Every fighter has a choice to where they sign and the ones that didnt sign with the UFC(Gomi,Fedor), did it for the best of their carreers(or so they think).
IMHO unless another org steps up to be competition everyone who is not under the Zuffa banner will slowly drop down the rankings, cuz fact is most of the best fighters in the worls are under Zuffa, how much longer will Fedor be #1 while hes fighting cans and Nog is beating top comp in the UFC?? same goes with Gomi, they all had a chance to sign, didnt like what they saw, which is perfectly fine and decided to go somewheres else, shit happens, overall im very pleased with the MMA world i live in

Even if Zuffa "gave" Pride back to DSE and let them run pride as sort of a sister org. like the WEC, isn't DSE'S credibility royally f'd in Japan after all the nonsense with the Yakuza or whatever they are called?
