| Matt Serra: "I believe this is not going to be a 5 round fight" Five Ounces of Pain | Matt Serra: “I believe this is not gonna be a five round fight…” Quote:
Let the hype begin for Georges St. Pierre vs. Matt Serra II, ladies and gentlemen. The Bell Centre has almost sold out for UFC 83 and tickets have not even gone on sale to the public yet. Not only are Canadian fans in a frenzy over the UFC, they’re in a frenzy over this fight in particular because it features their hometown boy. You think UFC 77 was “Hostile Territory”? Not even close to what kind of atmosphere the Bell Centre is going to be on April 19th. And to boot, Matt Serra is starting the talk already.
“But I’m a different fighter, I’m gonna pose some different problems, and I’m gonna be game. I don’t want to discredit any other guys – not that I care about discrediting Matt Hughes (laughs) – but there are certain things you have to risk, and a certain mindset you have to have when fighting a guy like Georges. There are guys who want to win either by playing it safe or by just trying to win a decision this way or that way, and that’s not the way to go. I believe this is not gonna be a five round fight – I believe it’s him or me, that’s the way I look at things, and I feel great about it.”
| He seriously has some issues w/ NOT including shots at Matt Hughes in any interview he gives. I think he may have an unhealthy Man-crush on the ol' farmboy at this point.

I just want to see him and Hughes fight. I think it would be far more appealing than seeing GSP fight Hughes or Serra. There's nothing better than a good old-fashioned blood feud.
I guarantee Serra is shitting his pants after seeing GSP/Hughes 3. 5 rounds my ass. If GSP is half the man he was vs. Hughes, Serra had better hope he lands a serious haymaker.

When I read the title "I believe this is going to be a 5 round fight" I thought Serra had gone crazy. I can't envision a way for this fight to go to the judges.

Considering the fact that the vast majority of Serra's UFC fights have gone to decision I'm suprised he's saying this.

He needs to come out a bit different this time tho b/c GSP, of course, no knows that Serra has some heavy hands. I think he'll keep a little distance and pick serra apart this time.

No doubt. It should be pretty lopsided, SHOULD BE. That doesn't mean a thing at this point in MMA.

Why would Serra be shitting in his pants after seeing Hughes/GSP 3? Serra has all ready beaten GSP, so I'm guessing he probably is very confident coming into this fight.
