| Tim Sylvia: "Brock [Lesnar] is making more money then me that has to change." Quote:
Tim Sylvia posted a new message on his official website. He appears to be very unhappy with the fact that Brock Lesnar made more money than he did at UFC 81. Both men lost via submission.
Below is a post made by Sylvia on his personal forum:
i have one fight left on my contract i want to stay with the ufc but i am going to go were the money is right now Brock is making more m0ney then me that has to change i have a better name then him and i am a better fighter then him, i case u didn't know my manager runs m1 so i have a pretty good in so we will see what happens in the next few months.

I was also suprized when i found out that Brock' salary is more than any fighters on UFC 81 card, but that's how the business goes as long you can filled the Whole Arena. http://forums.mmanews.com/general-mm...og-fights.html |

LOL at Tim saying he is a bigger name then Brock.
Brock is known world wide, was a huge star all over the world in the WWE and even though he hasn't wrestled for them in a while, he is still a bigger star and a bigger draw.
Even with AA on the outs, and Randy, Tim leaving won't hurt. He still isn't a draw.
He earned some respect after that last fight, but with stuff like this he will lose it imo. I understand it is true, and has to make him angry but don't come out an publicly say something, their is enough of that shit going on. But he also has to understand that Brock on his second fight has brought more fans imo then Tim has in all his years of fighting.
I can say i wouldn't be sad to see him never in a UFC hw title picture again.

Damn. Tim seemed to finally understand how he's supposed to carry himself. He seemed like a different person his last few interviews, including the weigh-in and post-fight - where he didn't whine or make stupid statements.
The truth is that he doesn't draw many fans - not even as a villain. And he should know that. I actually think Tim's a great fighter, but the UFC won't have too much trouble cutting him.

Didn't he just sign a new contract before the Randy fight, or after it.
Also Tim cried about Matt Hughes, who at the time was his teammate for getting a bigger signing bonus.

It's Jealousy. like i was mention in my other thread about this subject...this is the scenarios that i'm afraid might happen to the Company, salary gap can create some conflicts between fighters or fighters againts Zuffa itselfs.
I also think that Brock's salary is a bit much...but hey, that's how business goes you know. |

When people boo Tito it's because htey want to see him get his ass beat but if he win's they give him the respect. When people boo Sylvia they boo him because they hate him. He could hold belts in all weight classes and people will still boo him. He could beat Fedor and people will still boo him. Nobody likes him. And he's not a bigger name. People watched that PPV for Lesnar. I gurantee you that this is going to be the highest selling PPV this year unless Liddel gets to do a dream match at the end of the year again. The last PPV Lesnar fought in, which was a total abortion, is only known as that PPV that Lesnar fought in. Sylvia is an idiot. He's going to threaten to go to M-1?! Then go. Everytime he's mainevented and he was the biggest name on the card, it didn't draw. If the almighty Fedor can't put M-1 on the map Sylvia sure as hell can't. I would love to see him leave.

Like him or hate him I do think Tim deserved a bigger pay. He put on a better fight then Brock,is a former world champ, and it was Brocks 2nd damn fight.
I see where Tims coming from. I really do think UFC needs to start paying some guys a little more to keep their moral up from stopping them hopping to other companies.
If Tito leaves, then Arlovski is released,THEN Tim is gone, another promotion is a gonna make alot of fuckin money.

I also think that Brock's salary is a bit much...but hey, that's how business goes you know. | Thats how it goes in things like MMA, Boxing and even Pro Wrestling.
The bigger the star the more money you get.
I will say that its kinda bogus that Brock got that much, but then again Zuffa was banking on the fact that Brock would bring in a shit load new fans.
Also Tim does deserve more money because he was champ and his record, but he does also cry a lot, an does not put fans in the seat.
I dislike Tim very much, not just this, but everything in the past too, but i will say he does deserve more money.
Maybe UFC just don't want him, maybe thats there way of letting him go is not paying him so he leaves.
Also his real only choice for more money is M-1. IMO Elite can't afford him, and M-1 isn't going to pay him as much as UFC imo. UFC has ppvs, Tim gets some of that money. Also is he going to fight 3 times a year in m-1.
I mean if he can make more money in M-1, then good for him i say go for it. But imo i don't think he will.

That shows you that Dana doesn't care about the integrity of the fighters, he only cares about the prospect of more money.
