well first off, anyone who thinks that these kids arent training sounds as uneducated as the guys that think that people in the UFC arent training for their fights.

and i believe in letting kids compete, its a sport. kids play football, soccer, basketball, they wrestle and box, and some do jiu jitsu. so why cant they be involved in MMA? if mixed martial arts is a legitimate sport, why would there be any stigma in letting your kids compete?
granted, i think there definitely needs to be some extra rules and protection, and the guy reffing needs an eye exam and a boot in the ass for letting a kid take too much punishment.

Default What did I expect?

I definetly didnt expect to get my address put out there (Which I have taken legal matters against). Like I said, it doesnt matter if it was two 8 year olds, or two 98 year olds fighting, my job is to film the event. Nonetheless, you dont care, you just think that your right. Well, everyone "thinks" their right. Thats what opinions are. And opionions are like assholes, everyone has one...

Like I said before, these kids train very hard for the oppurtunity to fight, and have a big deal made out of it. How awesome would it be to see yourself on the internet when you are a kid??? Now with all the negativity towards them, Im not sure I would want them to see it. You should all be completely ashamed of yourselves for bringing these kids down like you have.

To the supporters, Thank you.

For more info and for the debate show on this issue, dont miss the next RING KINGS RADIO SHOW tonight 2-12-08 LIVE 7pm, on RingSideJunkie.com Online Television Network.. WE will have Cung Le, MMA BADASS on live tonight to talk about his own youth training, and Josh ThePUNK Thompson will be on to discuss the issues of Youth MMA, and how the liberal mind set is destroying the sport that we all love.

Welcome to RingKings Radio! The Regional Leader in Pro Wrestling, Boxing & Mixed Martial Arts Radio!

I guess that I'll have to check myself the next time I say I love watching the 55 pounders.

Seriously, there's nothing right about that.

So should kids not be allowed to learn JJ or just MMA? A kid who just learns Jiujitsu is just as likely if not more to sink an armbar on the playground and will be alot more dangerous with it. Just from the growth of MMA alone kids are going to be using armbars on the playground. Its starting to reach more children and therefore more kids are going to be emulating it. I'd take emulating MMA and armbars over kids emulatings prowrestling and powerbombs like when I was playing during recess. Considering in some Middle Eastern countries some kids would be trained soldiers running around with loaded AK's I think people are taking this way too seriously. Kids should be able to compete in MMA just like any other sport it's just a matter of modifying the rules to make it safe enough. The kids will enjoy training and competing. The parents will enjoy supporting them. Let them have there fun.

I think they shouldn't fight full contact until they at least reach 125lbs or whatever the lowest weight class is in WEC. I don't care if they're 10 and 125 as long as they're in that weight class. In the end I really don't mind it though. As stated, in Thailand kids start kickboxing at 5. The only problem we have a problem with that as a society is because we now have kids sport leagues where everyone wins! Everyone gets a trophy for participation. In a fight there's a true opportuinity to legitimately lose, not by decision where they can complain about the judges but having one kid knock the other out or make him tap out, and parents don't like their kids to lose.
