i have thought about this since watching Lytle vs Thiago.
i already thought that if Thiago Alves stood up with GSP, that he would teach him what the fuck is up, and watching Lytle fuckin go buck wild with him, and win a lot of exchanges of the hands, made me reevaulate what i thought he was capable of.
i knew that he had good ground, because Hughes did nothing but hold, and he only does nothing against good grapplers, ala Sakurai, BJ, Hallman, Charuto.
GSP has never passed guard on a black belt in the UFC, so people who say 'GSP passes guard on good grapplers' must have watched some fights i havent seen, because first of all, GSP has fought 2 good grapplers, one of them laid him out, and he beat the other one, Karo by GnP from the guard, without passing frequently, or retaining any position he might have taken after passing for a second.
i think GSP can pretty easily take this fight, but i think everyone here would be surprised with how hard Lytle would make GSP work to hurt him, standing or on the ground. he always made the best guys work hard to beat him, but until lately, he wasnt pulling the trigger on everyone like he is now.
