His next fight, vs rory singer, he lost again due to submission in 44 secs in the first round!
I HIGHLY doubt that Cummo wants to slug with a slugger, most likely he will take him down, and sub him. | NO!
Ross and Bisping fought in England and Ross was beating him and had him on the ground until he got subbed at the end of the first fight
Who gives a shit if Rory subbed him, Rory actually isnt a bad fighter he isnt good but hes not bad, he can sub people!
Rory just has no sub defense what so ever, and dont think itll be easy for Cummo to take him down.. he will feel him out standing first.

Hey whats not to like about Ross. He is the college buddy who never grew up one of the top guys you would want to take to the strip club with you a barrel of monkeys and heaps of laughs. heck if something went down you know Ross would have your back and go down swinging whether that bar brawl was a win, loss or night in the can. But those that are ignorant and equate MMA to bar brawling can be refuted quickly by pointing to Ross who loves a good scrap so much he would fight his own blood at the drop of a hat. Geez the man killed himself to make 185 why torture him so more so he can get tapped out by a fighter that is improving his game (hey Matt Serra could teach jiu jitsu to a caveman and he would have a purple belt by the end of the year so whats he doing with Luke Cummo) Hey Im sure we all love Ross and we would love to see him get that W at least one time I got the solution for you Ross verses our good friend and self proclaimed Ultimate Fighter Bad Ass Danny Abaddi. It would be equivolent of the Devil Rays vs the KC Royals of MMA but hey sure would be fun.

I think this is a terrible matchup for the fans and for the marketability for both fighters. Neither will ever be a world champion, we know that. Both are very popular, though and are characters. I would pay to see either one fight. But not each other. It's a shame that one of them will get a loss out of this. I can't believe that they would not match up Pointon with someone who would guarantee a slugfest. Somebody earlier mentioned Solomon Hutcherson. He was so cocky on the show and got knocked out twice. He probably wants a chance to prove himself. That fight has excitement all over it. I'm sure he would be willing to trade with Pointon and nobody would be upset other than Mrs. Hutcherson if he got knocked out again. That way, Ross would get his 'W' and become even more of a fan favorite which equals more money for UFC. People want Luke Cummo to win also, because again, he is such a character.
I don't think Luke Cummo stands with Pointon AT ALL in this fight. I think any of us on this forum could tell Cummo how to fight Ross.
I don't get the matchup, marketing-wise.

I guess thats adds another dimension to look at the fights. Its prolly the same people who are into those behind the scene things that NBC does about the olympians during olympics.
I dont really care about the personal lives of fighter. I just know that Pointon is a horrible fighter. |

ive never been a fan of Cummo's...i dunno, the guy just bugs me. he bugs me the way Chris Lytle used to until i've seen a different side of him on the TUF show LOL. Cummo's fight with Stevenson was great, but his other fights haven't been that entertaining...
nonetheless, unless Pointon blasts him with one of those haymakers of his and K's Cummo TFO, Cummo will submit him. Ross will get over zealous again and fall right into another triangle...

ross reminds me of joe riggs, has great standup and strong punches, but basically just throws the idea of sub defence out and just gets takedown and submitted easily, but riggs has shown some improvement and could become a huge threat later on. but luke cummo has good standup but not as good as ross. he could easily submit ross, but as weve seen in the past some people think that they have something to prove and luke might try and stand with ross, and he would get ktfo.
