The comment doesn't bother me, but I do think it was a little inappropriate. He was making a broad generalazation about a group of people. He probably was misquoted, or joking, but I would feel the exact same way, if an American made the same comment about Japanese individuals. IMO, unless your George Carlin, a writer on South Park, etc, you(espicially athletes) should stay away from categorizing groups of people.

actually, i thought nothing of his original statements and found nothing to be offended by, but i just found his way of rationalizing to be funny. he said that he said what he did because he didn't think it would ever be translated to english, which i think is kinda like looking over your shoulder for a black guy before you tell a black joke which i'd be surprised if every white person on this forum hasn't done that. i like okami and the way that breen explained his comment is most probably the way he meant it. i just found humor in the way he rationalized it.

I dont really get offended by any of what he said. i actually laughed due to the fact that minotauro is so fucking good at BJJ and strong as hell on top of it. I just kept thinking that Okami would have tapped just as quick if Minotauro slapped that tight ass guillatine on him.

I never really took his comments seriously to begin with. I mean cause I guarantee you if he gets caught in a submission he will tap before getting a limb broken as well.
