If they can get this on a channel with some exposure and get people to watch it (other than the people who already know who M-1 Global are) then it will work well. If it ends up on an obscure channel then it won't really do anything.

Problem is when UFC did TUF1 they were established organization ( had quite few fighters under contract ). M1 is just starting and Fedor is their only star.
This is unfortunately another can for Fedor.

I wonder if they should just go ahead and name it UFC if they would get in trouble, it could mean something totally different. How about The Ultimate Fedor Championship. I figure they might as well steal the name if there going to take there ideas, and the only people Fedor wants to fight are in the UFC and not M-1 maybe they could fool some people to come fight them. How pissed off would Dana be.
Does Russia have to follow copyright laws or would they actually be able to do this, i know it probably wouldn't fly to well if they came to the states then they just wouldn't abbreviate it, and its a totally different name.

The UFC cant find enough HWs to do a TUF for them, so how the hell is M1 going to? Plus the UFC was offering a luctrative contract, while M1 is offering a free loss on your record and an asskicking. So basically they are going to get a bunch of IFL calibur guys and its going to be a waste of everybody's time. Quote: |

Basically the owners would be giving away all their money to the UFC unless they hid it really well. Plus they would never be able to compete in the US since the UFC would get a injunction against that. The law is also written such that they cant use any name that a reasonable person would confuse with any copyrighted names the UFC has. Your suggestions would all obviously fall into this illegal category.

This is hilarious, this is all so they don't have to fork out the money for Fedors opponent. I guarentee this is a cost saving measure, because A: Fedor costs 2 mil per fight and nobody will co-promote and pay that. B: M1 doesn't have the cash to put on a show that includes Fedor pretty much at all.How do you pay the rest of the fighters when your main guy will take every last dollar from the event?
Finally welcome to another guarenteed win for Fedor... I wish I knew for sure who to be pissed at. His management or Fedor for him padding his record and apparantly just not wanting to fight top competition.
