Chris Fries and The JDH recently interviewed Ed Suarez, manager of Anderson Silva and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria on The Lights Out Show. Suarez made some very interesting comments regarding Silva and Big Nog.

Suarez On Silva:

“We would consider going up in weight…”

“…I don’t think there’s a middleweight in the world that could beat him…You’d have a hard time having a light heavyweight in the world that could beat him.”

Suarez On Nogueira vs. Fedor:

“He (Fedor) hasn’t fought any top opponents over the past couple years…we would love to fight Fedor.”

i don't think Anderson could be champ at lhw unless he got some chuck tdd. But i think he could be a top 10 lhw

anderson would look a little out of place at LHW... it'd be weird not seeking the lanky A.Silva.

Hey I say go for it. LHW is a great division with great fighters. Throw him into the mix and see how it goes. Let him have Houston Alexander. That would be interesting.

I'm pretty positive he could hang with the Welterweights and be the champ down there, but there are a few of LHW that would put a hurting on him. I'd say he could definately be top 10 but champion might be slightly out of his reach.

I think a fighter like Tito or Rashaad would be a definate roadblock in his quest for LHW gold. they are toward the top of the food chain but you gotta beat the best you know. he wouldnt be bad at LHW but he wouldn't contend for the title at this point.

I think with as stacked as LHW is, there are plenty of interesting match-ups for Silva. I also think he may lose to quite a few LHW, but I think Machida vs Anderson would be sweet. He'd get top ten, but thats about it.

Rashad No, bad ground game and would get hurt any time standing.

At least Tito could do something on the ground.

Like i said if Anderson got good take down d, i really don't see any reason he couldn't be top 5, maybe even champ.

I think he could be top 5 without the tdd because i think he could beat guys like Chuck, Wandy, Jardine because they love to trade.

Lets not forget that we are talking about Anderson weighing 205 also. That means he will hit even harder. As tall as he is I dont see him losing too much speed or agility by going up twenty pounds and training while doing it.

I am amazed at how quickly everyone has gone from "best P4P in the world" to ..."Can't keep up with Tito." No one has een hinted at Tito being the best p4p so if the pounds match....I say Anderson seals Tito's decision to go to television.

Tito is afraid to get punched. Anderson will punch the shit out of him.
