tito and chuck is gonna happen with tito getting ktfo(sadly). chuck and wand, think of all those japanese and brazilians that would want to see that, other countries love beating down America, a whole east vs west, ufc vs pride thing imagine the hype leading into that. i think the ppv buys would be crazy and set a record, bigger than gracie/hughes for sure.

Any good businessman knows his competition. I agree that Dana is just acting dumb.
Pride has been talking about Silva fighting Chuck in November. I'm assuming they are talking about the U.S. Pride event.
Even if the athletic commission would let Silva fight, why the hell would Dana let his top fighter, Chuck, fight in a PRIDE event in the U.S. He might as well go on Spike TV and do commercials for Pride for all the sense that makes.

I don't get all this about Dana and UFC protecting Chuck...so if Chuck loses the belt UFC is gonna tank and Chuck's career is gonna be over? What the hell are they protecting?
If Tito or anybody else beats Chuck it'd do more for UFC then people think. It'd start a hype around the guy that beat Chuck and ended his winning streak, beat the unbeatable, etc....and Chuck would still be fighting, and everybody loves to see him fight, so it'd really go well for both ends. All this crap about UFC feeding him cans and stuff is retarded.

I think Pride will explode in Las Vegas. It's just an overall better presentation, better production, better rules. After Pride makes its debut this October in vegas, it will eat the UFC for breakfast. Dana White right now is just trying to downplay the likes of Fedor, Silva and Noguiera to protect the interests of the UFC, which falls short when it comes to its higher tiered fighters. While I believe the collective talent of UFC fighters is greater than Pride's, the elite of the Pride organization is lightyears better than UFC's, and the elite is where it really counts. You won't find too many freak shows like Giant Silva in the UFC, but the best of the best are in pride.

Pride will never eat UFC alive. Most people can tell you when the next UFC is coming up whether they are MMA fans or not....I haven't seen any promotion for the Pride event other then on their PPV's (and a hundred commercials for Wanderlei Silva's special, lol.) But it'll be a while before Pride gets an established following the size of UFC's in America.

Dana probably just doesn't know CroCop or Fedor personally, but yeah i agree with the consensus that he knows who they are LOL! Wandy vs. Chuck should still happen regardless of Wandy's loss.
does anyone else think it's fucked up that only the UFC belt was slated to be on the line in that fight? i think Pride is the one trying to "protect" their fighter with Wandy not putting his belt up...when is that last time he defended it seriously?

Title vs. Title would add even more to that fight. Imagine one of those guys holding both belts.

Why would the Pride belt be on the line if the fights in the UFC? you cant put the Pride belt on the line if Pride rules dont apply.
